Apple Barrel acrylic craft paint set, 16 matte colors (2 fl oz) — smooth coverage, multi-surface

Apple Barrel Vibrant Spectrum is a 16-piece acrylic craft paint set of 2 fl oz bottles that delivers bright, matte colors suitable for wood, terra cotta, plaster, Styrofoam and more.

This 16-color PROMOABIII kit from Apple Barrel gives crafters an economical, ready-to-use selection of bold acrylics in convenient 2 fl oz bottles. The paints are formulated for smooth application and strong coverage, drying to a matte finish that works well for painting, stamping, stenciling and sponging on a wide range of surfaces. Clean-up is simple with soap and water while the paint is wet, and the set is made in the USA.

What colors are included and why does the range matter?

The set contains 16 distinct matte shades chosen to cover a wide palette of craft needs, from neutrals to bright accents. Having a diverse range reduces the need for mixing and speeds up project completion, especially for multi-piece crafts and seasonal decorations.

• Included shades: White, Black, Flag Red, Jack-o-Lantern, Bright Blue, Candy Pink
• Also: Nutmeg Brown, Bright Yellow, New Shamrock, Purple Iris, Too Blue
• Plus: Fuchsia, Key West, Pewter Grey, Bright Magenta, Parrot Blue
• Ready-to-use 2 fl oz bottles for individual color control and easy storage

How well does Apple Barrel acrylic paint apply and finish?

These acrylics are formulated for a smooth, even laydown that provides solid coverage with typical craft brushwork. They dry to a matte finish that minimizes sheen and is ideal for photographed or displayed crafts where a non-gloss look is preferred.

• Brushes, sponges, stamps or stencils work seamlessly with the consistency
• Good coverage reduces the number of coats needed on porous surfaces
• Matte finish creates a uniform, non-reflective appearance after drying

Which surfaces can I paint with this kit and how should I prepare them?

Apple Barrel acrylics are versatile enough for many common craft substrates, including wood, terra cotta, plaster and Styrofoam. Surface prep—cleaning, sanding lightly, or priming porous items—helps the paint adhere evenly and improves durability.

• Wood: sand smooth and wipe dust before painting
• Terra cotta & plaster: clean and prime porous surfaces for best coverage
• Styrofoam: paint directly but apply thin coats to avoid dissolving delicate foams
• Multi-surface projects: test a small area first to confirm adhesion and color

How do I clean up and store leftover paint?

Cleanup is straightforward—wash brushes and tools with soap and water while the paint is still wet. For storage, keep bottle caps tightly sealed and store upright in a cool, dry place to maintain paint quality between uses.

• Wet paint: rinse brushes under warm water with soap until clear
• Dried paint: remove excess with a scraper; brushes may need stronger cleaners
• Storage: tighten lids and store bottles upright away from freezing temperatures
