TRATPER Rat & Chipmunk Covered Snap Traps, 2-Pack — Dual-Entry Child-Safe Reusable

TRATPER Rat and Chipmunk Traps are covered, dual-entry snap traps designed to reduce accidental triggering while delivering a quick, reusable solution for indoor and outdoor rodent control.

These covered snap traps use a dual-tunnel entry and an enclosed locking chamber that keeps the mechanism out of reach of children and pets while allowing rodents to enter from either side. Built from heavy-duty ABS plastic and sized for rats and chipmunks, the TRATPER traps combine a sensitive trigger pad with a secure jaw to improve capture reliability and simplify cleanup and reuse.

How do these traps protect children and pets from accidental triggering?

The TRATPER design places the bait and trigger inside a covered tunnel, limiting accidental contact with the snap mechanism. The outer enclosure and automatic locking lever reduce the chance of unintended discharge while still allowing rodents to access the bait.

• Enclosed tunnel keeps the mechanism out of reach
• Dual-entry reduces need to flip or adjust trap orientation
• Automatic locking lever secures during handling and disposal

How easy is it to set, bait, and reuse the traps?

Setting and baiting are straightforward: place a small amount of bait such as peanut butter inside, push the lever down, and position the trap where you see activity. After use the ABS plastic housing wipes clean or can be washed for repeated deployments.

• Hands-free set with no exposed hooks or wires
• Washable material for multiple uses
• Designed for quick release and safe disposal of captured rodents

Will these traps reliably stop rats and chipmunks outdoors as well as indoors?

TRATPER traps are sized and built for both indoor and outdoor placement. The durable, weight-bearing tunnel and sensitive trigger pad are tuned to capture small- to medium-sized rodents without frequent failures, making them useful near foundations, sheds, garages, and in basements.

• Heavy-duty ABS construction resists weathering and impacts
• 8" x 6" x 5" footprint fits in common rodent pathways
• Dual tunnel increases chance of entry from varied approaches

How humane and effective are these traps compared with alternatives?

The traps are designed to produce a rapid kill by combining a responsive lock chamber with a specially shaped jaw, which reduces the likelihood of prolonged suffering. Their enclosed format also helps conceal the mechanism, which can reduce tampering and increase success compared with exposed snap traps.

• Sensitive trigger and tooth-patterned jaw for secure captures
• Enclosure reduces disturbance and risk of escape
• Reusable design lowers waste versus single-use options

Who this is for: TRATPER Rat and Chipmunk Traps suit homeowners, renters, property managers, and small-business operators who need a discreet, robust trapping option that prioritizes safety around children and pets. Choose this two-pack if you want a reusable, easy-to-set trap for basements, attics, garages, sheds, or outdoor foundation lines—and pair with appropriate bait and gloves to improve results while minimizing human scent.
