Intex Wall-Mounted Pool Skimmer 800 GPH+ — Deluxe Surface Automatic Skimmer, Removable Basket

The Intex Deluxe 800 GPH+ Wall-Mounted Surface Automatic Skimmer captures leaves, bugs and floating debris before they sink, attaching to your Intex filter pump to reduce bottom cleanup.

This compact wall-mounted skimmer is built to sit on the rim of Easy Set and metal frame pools and pull surface contaminants into a removable strainer basket. Constructed from durable polypropylene that resists common pool chemicals, the unit is designed to work with any compatible Intex filter pump that provides at least 800 gallons per hour of flow. The result is a simple, hands-off accessory that streamlines surface maintenance so you spend less time skimming by hand and more time in the water.

How does the skimmer attach to different pool types?

The unit mounts using an adjustable bracket that secures to Easy Set and metal frame pools without special tools. The bracket clamps to the sidewall and aligns the intake opening at the waterline for optimal surface pickup. Installation is intended to be fast so the skimmer can be repositioned or removed seasonally.

• Adjustable bracket fits Easy Set and metal frame pool walls
• Tool-free attachment for quick mounting and removal
• Bracket positions intake at the waterline for surface collection

What pump requirements and compatibility should I check?

To operate as intended, the skimmer must connect to an Intex filter pump that supplies a minimum of 800 gallons per hour. Using a lower-flow pump will reduce suction and collection performance. The skimmer is designed for simple hose attachment to typical Intex filter units for a plug-and-play setup.

• Requires an Intex filter pump with at least 800 GPH flow
• Standard hose attachment for quick connection to pump inlet
• Compatible with most Intex above-ground pool filtration systems

How easy is maintenance and cleaning of the skimmer?

Cleaning is straightforward: the strainer basket lifts out for rinsing and removes accumulated leaves and debris in seconds. Polypropylene construction stands up to chlorine and other pool chemicals, so routine rinses keep it functioning well season after season. Lightweight design also makes storage and winterizing simple.

• Removable strainer basket for fast emptying and rinsing
• Durable plastic resists pool chemicals and UV exposure
• Compact dimensions (8.25" L x 9.5" W x 13" H) and 4.57 lb weight for easy handling

What real-world results can I expect day-to-day?

When matched with the recommended pump, the skimmer reduces floating debris and shortens the frequency of manual skimming. It helps keep the waterline cleaner and prevents heavier particles from settling to the bottom, which can cut down on filter and vacuum work. Performance varies with debris load, pool size, and pump condition, but most owners report noticeable surface clearing within hours of installation.

• Consistent surface debris removal when pump flow is sufficient
• Less frequent manual skimming and lower bottom-sweep needs
• Works best in moderate wind and steady pump operation

Who is this for? The Intex Deluxe 800 GPH+ Wall-Mounted Surface Automatic Skimmer is built for above-ground pool owners who want an affordable, low-effort way to reduce surface debris without major plumbing changes. It's a good match for families with Easy Set or metal frame pools and anyone using an Intex filter pump that meets the 800 GPH minimum. If you want a compact, durable accessory that plugs into your existing filtration system and lightens daily pool maintenance, this skimmer is a practical choice.
