Neowah 8" Pool Skimmer Basket for Pentair & Hayward - Heavy-Duty Fit with Brass Weight and EZ Grip Handle

Neowah's 8-inch pool skimmer basket is a heavy-duty replacement basket designed to fit Pentair U-3 and Hayward SPX1070E skimmers while trapping large and fine debris and protecting your pump.

Keep your inground pool running smoothly with a skimmer basket built for strength and precise fit. This Neowah basket combines reinforced plastic construction with a corrosion-resistant brass weight and an EZ Grip handle to stay seated under heavy loads, maintain optimal water flow, and make removal effortless. Its exact dimensions — 8 1/8" top diameter, 6.5" bottom diameter, and 5.5" height — match common Pentair and Hayward models so you can swap it in without modifications.

How does this basket reduce pump clogs and protect my filtration system?

The basket's grid pattern is engineered to capture both large leaves and small debris while allowing water to flow freely. By intercepting solids before they reach the pump, it minimizes strain and lowers the chance of clogging or cavitation.

• Optimized grid openings balance capture with unrestricted water flow
• Holds debris above the skimmer throat to prevent pump ingestion
• Durable construction resists warping that can create bypass gaps

Will this basket fit my Pentair or Hayward skimmer?

Yes — the Neowah 8" basket is a direct replacement for Pentair U-3 (08650-0007) and Hayward SPX1070E models. The measured dimensions ensure a secure, leak-free fit in compatible inground pool skimmer housings.

• Top outer diameter: 8 1/8" for skimmer-lip seating
• Bottom diameter: 6.5" to align with throat openings
• Height: 5.5" for proper clearance under the skimmer lid

How much debris can the basket hold and what keeps it in place?

A corrosion-resistant brass weight is integrated into the base so the basket seats firmly and resists floatation when loaded. The reinforced plastic shell and weight together allow the basket to manage significant debris volumes without dislodging.

• Built-in brass weight resists corrosion and sinking issues
• Rated to handle up to 30 pounds of accumulated debris
• Robust plastic body resists cracking under heavy loads

How easy is removal and handling for cleaning?

Neowah designed the EZ Grip handle to make lifting and emptying the basket comfortable, even when wet or laden with debris. The handle uses a 316 stainless steel core wrapped in a rubber grip for secure, strain-free handling.

• 316 stainless steel handle offers corrosion resistance
• Rubber-wrapped grip reduces slippage and hand fatigue
• Thoughtful center hole layout simplifies rinsing and debris removal

Who is this for? Pool owners and maintenance professionals who need a dependable, precisely sized replacement skimmer basket for Pentair or Hayward inground systems will benefit most from the Neowah 8" basket. It's suited to busy pools that collect a mix of large leaves and fine debris and to anyone who wants a rugged, easy-to-handle basket that keeps water flowing and pumps protected.
