GoSports Weighted Training Softballs 3.82" 16 oz — 6-Pack Durable Soft-Shell for Hitting & Pitching Practice

GoSports 3.82-inch, 16 oz weighted training softballs — a six-pack of durable, soft-shell practice balls designed to slow mechanics and strengthen batting and pitching form.

Adding weighted balls to practice routines is a straightforward way to target technique, strength, and consistency without complicated equipment. These GoSports training softballs match official softball diameter while increasing resistance so players and coaches can pinpoint mechanical flaws and reinforce efficient motion. Their soft rubber shell makes them safe for repeated drills on fields, in cages, or even backyard sessions.

How will these weighted softballs change my batting practice?

Using heavier balls forces hitters to move deliberately, revealing timing and swing-path problems that lighter practice balls can hide. Slower, controlled swings under load help ingrain a more powerful and repeatable follow-through when players return to regulation balls.

• 16 oz weight increases resistance for improved contact force.
• Official 3.82" diameter preserves natural hand-eye coordination.
• Soft rubber shell tolerates tee work, soft toss, and controlled swings.
• Six-ball pack enables interval sets and rotation between players.

Can pitchers use these safely to refine mechanics?

Weighted softballs slow arm speed enough to expose flaws in delivery and follow-through without demanding full game velocity. Coaches can isolate footwork, arm-slot, and release timing by integrating these balls into structured drills.

• Use for long toss or short-distance drills to emphasize form.
• Slowed motion highlights balance, stride, and wrist position.
• Soft shell decreases risk during close-range pitching work.
• Pack of six allows paired drills and coach demonstrations.

What makes the GoSports balls durable and practice-ready?

The outer casing is formulated to be soft to the touch yet tough enough to withstand repeated impacts and handling. Their construction stands up to batting-cage sessions, field drills, and frequent transport without splitting or quickly deforming.

• Soft but heavy-duty rubber shell resists scuffs and punctures.
• Consistent weight distribution for predictable training loads.
• Limited-flight design suits backyard or enclosed-area practice.
• Maintenance-free — no inflation or valves to manage.

How should coaches program drills with this six-pack?

Coaches can integrate these balls into warm-ups, progressive overload plans, or focal-point drills to accelerate skill improvements. Rotate them through stations so each player gets repeated, high-quality reps focused on one technical element at a time.

• Station work: separate hitting, throwing, and fielding mechanics.
• Progressive sets: start with weighted reps, finish with regulation balls.
• Paired drills: coach and player alternate to demonstrate correct form.
• Conditioning combos: short bursts of weighted throws for strength and control.

Who is this for: Players and coaches across skill levels wanting a simple, portable tool to refine mechanics and build targeted strength. Beginners will benefit from clearer feedback on basic motion, intermediate players can use them to polish timing and power, and advanced athletes can apply them for focused maintenance work. The six-pack format supports team practice, small-group coaching, or individual training sessions where repetition and consistency matter.
