Lizard Skins DSP Ultra Bat Grip — Jet Black 1.1 mm durasoft polymer, tacky vibration-dampening finish

Engineered for players who want tacky feel, vibration dampening, and minimal added weight, this pre-cut bat grip suits wood, composite, and aluminum bats. At 990 mm (39 inches) with a full adhesive back and included finishing tape, it installs quickly and stays secure in both dry and wet conditions. The DSP (Durasoft Polymer) material combines cushion and texture to improve comfort while preserving natural handling and swing dynamics.

How does the DSP Ultra improve grip and control at the plate?

The durasoft polymer surface offers tactile texture that increases friction between hands and bat, reducing slippage during swings. Its thin 1.1 mm profile maintains the bat's original feel while providing enough cushioning to steady your hands on contact.

• Textured finish boosts hand-to-bat traction for consistent handling.
• 1.1 mm thickness keeps bat balance and swing weight nearly unchanged.
• Slip-resistant when wet or dry for reliable performance in varied conditions.

Will it reduce vibration and improve comfort?

Yes — the DSP material absorbs a portion of impact shock, making the bat feel smoother on mishits and repeated swings. The soft yet resilient compound helps lessen sting without the bulk of thicker grips.

• Cushioning reduces handle vibration on contact.
• Ultra lightweight design avoids dampening bat speed.
• Helps hands feel more secure during long batting sessions.

Is installation straightforward and compatible with my bat type?

Installation is user-friendly thanks to full adhesive backing and pre-cut length, plus finishing tape included to lock the end. The wrap is designed to fit wood, composite, and aluminum bats, and the package includes clear wrapping instructions to guide even first-time installers.

• Pre-cut 990 mm (39") length fits most adult bat handles.
• Full adhesive back ensures a snug, long-lasting bond.
• Finishing tape secures edges and delivers a clean look.

How do I care for the DSP Ultra to keep it performing?

Maintenance is minimal: clean the grip with water or isopropyl alcohol and a soft towel to remove dirt and oils that reduce tackiness. Avoid harsh solvents and abrasive scrubbing to prolong the grip's texture and adhesive life.

• Wipe with water or isopropyl alcohol and a soft towel.
• Avoid heavy cleaners and rough brushes that could damage the surface.
• Replace when texture or adhesion noticeably degrade.

Who this is for: The Lizard Skins DSP Ultra Bat Grip is ideal for hitters who demand a precise, tacky feel without sacrificing bat weight or balance. It's suited to competitive players, coaches rewrapping team bats, and weekend hitters wanting better comfort and reduced vibration on wood, composite, or aluminum bats.
