iRobot Roomba 105 Combo robot vacuum & mop with AutoEmpty Dock — 75‑day self‑empty, LiDAR mapping, intense suction

The iRobot Roomba 105 Combo is a self-emptying vacuum-and-mop robot that vacuums, mops, and automatically deposits debris into a dock that holds up to 75 days of dirt.

Designed to handle both wet and dry cleaning across mixed floor surfaces, this combo model pairs intense suction with a reusable microfiber mop pad and ClearView™ LiDAR mapping. The included AutoEmpty Dock captures dust in a disposable bag for weeks of hands-off maintenance while onboard sensors and carpet detection keep rugs dry during mopping. Control is available through the Roomba Home app, voice assistants, or the robot’s buttons for flexible, scheduled cleaning.

How well does it pick up dirt and pet hair?

The Roomba 105 Combo uses a multi-stage system that boosts suction and combines a multi-surface brush with an edge-sweeping tool to capture embedded dirt and hair. It was engineered to lift more debris than earlier entry-level models while the mop pad tackles light spills and smudges.

• 70x increased power-lifting suction compared with legacy 600-series robots.
• Multi-surface brush works across tile, hardwood, and low-pile carpet.
• Edge-sweeping brush reaches along baseboards and corners for better perimeter cleaning.
• Washable microfiber mop pad wipes away tracked-in marks and light stains.

Will it keep carpets dry while mopping and avoid water damage?

The robot automatically detects carpets and steers clear of them when the mop function is active, so area rugs and upholstered floor coverings stay dry without special programming. A micro-pump controls liquid delivery to the mop pad so moisture is applied consistently, not dumped onto floors.

• Automatic carpet avoidance when mop mode is selected—no manual exclusion needed.
• Micro-pump regulates water or approved cleaning solution flow to the mop pad.
• SmartScrub option for deeper scrubbing in high-traffic spots without over-wetting.
• Washable pad removes surface dirt, then detaches for easy cleaning or replacement.

How does the AutoEmpty Dock and maintenance work?

The AutoEmpty Dock accepts debris from the robot and stores it in a replaceable bag that can hold up to 75 days of dirt under typical use. The docking base seals away dust and allergens, which reduces how often you need to touch the collected debris.

• Dock bag traps 99% of allergens down to 0.7 microns for cleaner emptying.
• Simply lift and discard the full bag—no direct contact with accumulated dust.
• Replacement bags are easy to install; routine robot parts like filters and pads are user-replaceable.
• Robot returns to dock automatically to empty and recharge between jobs.

How do I control and schedule cleaning sessions?

You can run single cleans, schedule recurring sessions, or target rooms using the Roomba Home app and voice assistants like Alexa, Siri, and Google Assistant. The robot also has onboard buttons for immediate manual starts or mode changes.

• Roomba Home app offers scheduling, suction and mop-level adjustments, and keep-out zones.
• Works with 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi for setup and operation; your phone may return to 5 GHz after setup.
• Voice control lets you start or stop cleans hands-free with supported assistants.
• Choose vac-only, mop-only, or combined vac-and-mop modes to match the task.

Who is this for? The iRobot Roomba 105 Combo is a good fit for busy households that want a mostly hands-off approach to both vacuuming and light mopping across mixed floors. It suits pet owners, people with allergies who benefit from sealed dust collection, and anyone who prefers scheduled, app-controlled cleaning with automatic carpet protection. If you need heavy deep-scrubbing of very sticky messes or specialized floor-care chemicals, consider pairing the robot with targeted manual cleaning as needed.
