EKO Mirage-T touchless motion sensor trash can 50L (13.2 gal) Brushed Stainless — slim rectangular, soft-close lid

The EKO Mirage-T is a 50-liter (13.2 gallon) touchless motion-sensor trash can with a fingerprint-resistant brushed stainless steel finish for hands-free, tidy waste disposal.

The Mirage-T combines a slim rectangular footprint with a generous internal volume so you get more capacity without sacrificing floor space. Designed for everyday kitchens, laundry rooms, or home offices, the sensor-activated lid opens automatically when you approach and closes quietly with a soft-close mechanism. An internal rim secures standard 13-gallon bags out of sight, and its anti-fingerprint coating keeps the exterior looking clean between wipes.

How does the motion sensor make daily use easier?

The intelligent infrared sensor detects hand or object movement and opens the lid instantly, eliminating the need to touch the bin. It reduces contact with soiled surfaces and speeds up routine disposal tasks during cooking, cleaning, or craft projects.

• Responsive infrared sensor triggers lid within moments of approach
• Soft-close lid prevents loud slamming and reduces wear
• Touch switch holds lid open for extended access when needed
• Battery-powered operation avoids cord clutter—uses AA alkaline batteries (not included)

Will the Mirage-T fit in a small kitchen or next to cabinets?

Yes—its rectangular design is optimized to sit flush against walls or cabinetry, saving room while still holding a full 13.2-gallon capacity inside. The compact external dimensions provide a space-efficient solution where round bins often take more floor area.

• Slim exterior measures 15.1" W x 10.2" D x 24.6" H
• Height with lid open reaches 36" for comfortable access
• No-liner internal design increases usable capacity by about 25%
• Accepts standard 13-gallon kitchen trash bags—no specialty liners required

How do you keep the Mirage-T clean and maintain its performance?

The brushed stainless steel with a fingerprint-resistant coating wipes clean easily and resists visible smudges between cleanings. The inner rim lifts out for straightforward bag changes and cleaning of the interior, while the soft-close lid mechanism requires minimal maintenance.

• Anti-fingerprint finish resists smears and simplifies wiping
• Removable inner rim holds bags and conceals them for neater appearance
• Soft-close hinge reduces stress on components for long life
• Recommended to use AA alkaline batteries; avoid rechargeable types

What power and accessories does the bin require?

The Mirage-T runs on readily available AA alkaline batteries, which provide long-lasting operation—typically many months depending on frequency of use. You can use standard 13-gallon trash bags, and EKO also offers heavy-duty bags specifically sized for this model if you prefer a matched accessory.

• Power: AA alkaline batteries (not included); do not use rechargeable cells
• Bag compatibility: standard 13-gallon kitchen trash bags
• Optional accessory: EKO extra-strong kitchen bags (model EK33706B)
• Customer support: US-based EKO assistance available for questions

Who is this for? The EKO Mirage-T is well suited for households that want a sleek, hands-free waste solution without sacrificing capacity. It fits small kitchens, busy family spaces, or home offices where low contact and a clean-looking finish matter. If you need a compact rectangular can that hides bags, opens automatically, and stays fingerprint-free, the Mirage-T offers an efficient, user-friendly option.
