Cuisinart Automatic Grind & Brew 12-Cup Coffee Maker DGB-400NAS Black/Stainless — Programmable with Blade Grinder

The Cuisinart Automatic Grind & Brew 12-Cup Coffee Maker (DGB-400NAS) grinds whole beans then brews a full pot or smaller batches on a programmable schedule for fresh coffee at home.

Built to streamline your morning routine, this Cuisinart combines an integrated blade grinder with a drip brewer and a glass carafe so you get freshly ground flavor without extra steps. Program a 24-hour start time, choose a 1–4 cup mode for smaller brews, or switch the grinder off to use pre-ground coffee. Durable filters and a Brew Pause feature make it versatile for everyday use.

How does the built-in grinder improve flavor and convenience?

The grinder blades crush whole beans just before extraction so oils and aromatics are preserved for a brighter, more immediate cup. You can also disable the grinder to brew with pre-ground coffee when preferred.

• Integrated blade grinder grinds beans automatically before brewing
• Grind-off option for use with pre-ground coffee
• Single-button operation keeps grinder and brewer workflow simple

Can I set this coffee maker to have coffee ready in the morning?

Yes — the 24-hour programmable timer lets you schedule brewing in advance so you wake to a fresh pot. The unit stores your chosen start time until you change it.

• Programmable 24-hour auto-start for unattended brewing
• Memory holds scheduled time until updated
• Perfect for weekday routines or weekend slow mornings

What options are there for different pot sizes or quick cups?

The machine offers a 1–4 cup setting so smaller amounts brew properly without over-extraction. The Brew Pause feature lets you pour a cup mid-cycle without making a mess or stopping the entire process.

• 1–4 cup mode optimizes brewing for smaller servings
• Brew Pause allows a single cup mid-brew without spills
• Standard 12-cup capacity for larger households or gatherings

What filtration and maintenance features keep the coffee tasting fresh?

This brewer comes with a permanent gold-tone filter and a charcoal water filter to reduce impurities that affect taste. Routine cleaning and following the user guide will maintain performance and flavor clarity.

• Included permanent gold-tone coffee filter reduces ongoing paper use
• Built-in charcoal water filter helps eliminate chlorine and off-flavors
• Refer to the user guide for recommended cleaning and descaling steps
