BLACK+DECKER 12-Cup Thermal Programmable Coffee Maker — Black/Steel, VORTEX Extraction & Brew-Strength

Whether you want a richer cup in the morning or a steady supply of hot coffee throughout the day, this BLACK+DECKER machine combines programmable convenience with VORTEX extraction and a thermal carafe that locks in heat without a warming plate. The unit offers a 24-hour delay timer, a brew-strength selector for customization, and an LCD fresh-brew timer so you always know how long ago your coffee finished brewing. The stainless-accented black finish fits most counters and the no-drip pour spout makes serving clean and simple.

How does VORTEX Technology change the flavor of my coffee?

VORTEX Technology uses a specially designed showerhead to distribute hot water evenly over the coffee grounds. Even saturation helps extract more flavor uniformly, producing a fuller-bodied cup without over-extracting bitter notes.

• Showerhead design for consistent water distribution
• Optimized water temperature for balanced extraction
• Produces richer flavor with the same grind and ratio

Will the thermal carafe keep my coffee hot and safe to handle?

The CM2046S features a four-layer vacuum-sealed carafe that retains heat up to two hours without a hot warming plate. The carafe is engineered to stay cool to the touch while locking in temperature, so you can serve directly from it without risking burns.

• Double-walled, 4-layer vacuum seal for sustained heat
• Rated to keep coffee 154°F or hotter for up to two hours
• Cool-to-touch exterior and a drip-free pour spout for safe serving

How easy is it to schedule brewing and control strength?

Programming the CM2046S is straightforward with its digital controls and 24-hour delay-brew function, so you can wake to freshly brewed coffee. A dedicated STRONG button slows the brew cycle for a more concentrated cup, and the LCD fresh-brew timer shows elapsed time up to 120 minutes.

• 24-hour auto-brew timer for set-and-forget mornings
• STRONG brew selector for a bolder taste option
• LCD fresh-brew timer and auto-shutoff for convenience and safety

What practical features support daily use and cleaning?

The machine was designed for real kitchens: a no-drip Perfect Pour spout stops mess when serving, and the removable filter basket simplifies grounds disposal and rinsing. Basic upkeep is quick, and preheating the carafe with hot water before brewing improves temperature performance.

• No-drip pour spout for neat serving
• Removable filter basket for easy cleaning
• Preheatable carafe tip for optimal temperature retention

It suits people who value a richer cup on demand, appreciate a tidy pour, and need a reliable 12-cup capacity for entertaining or multiple daily servings.
