Baskerville Dog Muzzle Size 5 ULTRA - Padded heat-formable muzzle allows panting & drinking

The Baskerville ULTRA Dog Muzzle Size 5 is a padded, heat-formable humane muzzle that lets dogs pant and drink while securely preventing bites.

The Baskerville Ultra was developed to balance comfort with reliable restraint. Made from thermo-plastic rubber and fitted with padded straps, the Size 5 model suits mid-to-large muzzled breeds and can be adjusted using warm water to better match individual nose shapes. It’s widely chosen for socialization, vet handling, reactive-dog management, and everyday walks when owners need extra safety without restricting natural behavior.

How does the Ultra allow panting and drinking while still preventing bites?

The Ultra’s patented open-muzzle geometry creates space around the snout so air and water pass freely, while the rigid body blocks direct jaw closure. That design reduces stress for dogs and makes longer wear feasible during walks or training sessions.

• Open-front cage design permits tongue movement and airflow.
• Sturdy thermoplastic rubber prevents full mouth closure.
• Size 5 offers appropriate clearance for medium-large snouts.

Can I custom-fit the Size 5 muzzle to my dog’s unique nose shape?

Yes — the Ultra is heat-mouldable so you can adapt the muzzle to flatter, shorter, or longer noses. Gently softening the muzzle in warm (not boiling) water and shaping it around your dog’s snout produces a closer, more secure fit.

• Heat-shaping works like a mouthguard for tailored fit.
• Follow the manufacturer’s fitting guide for best results.
• Use the headstrap and collar loop during early acclimation for stability.

What safety features and fastening options does this muzzle include?

The Ultra combines robust materials with multiple attachment points to keep the muzzle secure without metal touching the dog’s face. For extra security there’s a lockable neck-strap clip, a headstrap and a collar loop to limit movement if the dog tries to remove the muzzle.

• Made from strong, bite-resistant thermo-plastic rubber (TPR).
• Lockable neck strap clip for tamper-resistant fastening.
• Padded straps prevent chafing and increase comfort.

When should I choose Size 5 and how do I check fit before use?

Size 5 suits dogs with mid-to-large muzzle dimensions — check measurements against the Baskerville sizing guide. Because muzzles and dog snouts vary, try the product on in-store when possible; for online purchases, follow the measurement steps closely and inspect the fit at first wear.

• Measure snout length and circumference per the sizing chart.
• Confirm panting clearance and nose alignment once fitted.
• Use straps and collar loop while acclimating the dog to the muzzle.

Who this is for: The Baskerville ULTRA Size 5 is aimed at owners of medium-to-large dogs who need a humane, reliable muzzle for training, vet visits, rehabilitation or safe public outings. It’s a good choice for handlers working with reactive or rescue dogs, trainers who require treat-rewarding while muzzled, and anyone who wants a durable, adjustable muzzle that prioritizes the dog’s comfort and breathing. If your dog’s snout falls between sizes, consult the sizing guide or try a fitting in store where available.
