Zippo Butane Lighter Insert — Yellow Flame, High-Temp Wind-Resistant Single-Torch

The Zippo Butane Lighter Insert - Yellow Flame is a refillable single-torch insert that converts any Classic Zippo case into a high-temperature, wind-resistant butane lighter with Zippo’s signature click.

Swap the standard fuel chamber for this Yellow Flame insert when you want a cleaner, odorless butane flame and a concentrated single-torch output that reaches high temperatures. Engineered to drop into any Classic Zippo lighter case (not compatible with Slim or 1935 Replica models), this insert preserves the familiar metal feel and audible click while offering the convenience of butane fuel. It ships empty and is packaged in a gift-ready box.

How hot and focused is the yellow flame?

The Yellow Flame insert produces a pressurized single-torch flame capable of high temperatures for tasks that need a concentrated heat source. It’s designed to deliver a stable, easy-to-control flame suitable for outdoor and everyday uses where wind resistance is helpful.

• Maximum temperature up to about 1,400°F (760°C)
• Pressurized single-torch output for a tight flame profile
• Consistent flame shape for repeatable performance

How do I refill and maintain this insert?

The insert is refillable with Zippo premium butane fluid and ships empty for safe transport. Basic upkeep involves refilling when needed and occasional adjustment of the flame height; using Zippo-labeled butane helps ensure optimal performance.

• Refill capacity approximately 0.9 g of butane
• Use Zippo premium butane fluid for best results
• Flame height is adjustable; follow standard refill safety steps

Will this fit my Zippo case and keep the classic features?

Yes — this insert is crafted to fit standard Classic Zippo lighter cases and retain the familiar mechanical qualities. It does not fit Zippo Slim or 1935 Replica cases, so check your model before purchasing.

• Compatible with all Classic Zippo cases (not Slim or 1935 Replica)
• Maintains the trademark Zippo "click" when opened and closed
• Sold as insert only; lighter case sold separately

Is the Yellow Flame insert windproof and travel-ready?

The single-torch design improves wind resistance compared with a soft flame butane lighter, yet like all butane devices it’s best transported empty. The insert offers reliable ignition and a focused heat source for outdoor conditions, but always follow local rules for carrying fuel and filled lighters.

• Wind-resistant single-torch performance
• Packaged and shipped unfilled for safety
• Comes in a gift box and stamped with Zippo’s quality mark

Who is this for: This insert is ideal for Zippo owners who want a higher-temperature, odorless butane flame without losing the metal case aesthetics and iconic sound. It suits hobbyists, outdoor enthusiasts, and anyone who prefers a pressurized torch for controlled lighting tasks and wants the flexibility to switch inserts rather than buy a new lighter. Note: people with Zippo Slim or 1935 Replica cases should choose a different insert model.
