YAMASAN KYOTO UJI Genmaicha Green Tea with Matcha — 60 Tea Bags, Smooth Nutty Flavor & Low Caffeine

YAMASAN KYOTO UJI Genmaicha with Matcha is a boxed set of 60 single‑serving tea bags blending sencha green leaves, toasted brown rice and fine matcha for a smooth, nutty cup with vibrant green color.

Inspired by Kyoto‑area tea traditions, this Genmaicha combines selected sencha, roasted brown rice and a finishing touch of Kyushu matcha to create a balanced, low‑caffeine green tea. Packaged as convenient individual bags, it preserves authentic Japanese flavors while making brewing fast and reliable at home, the office, or on the go.

What flavor and aroma should I expect from this Genmaicha?

The blend highlights a gentle grassy base from sencha, warm toasted notes from brown rice, and a subtle umami depth contributed by matcha. The result is a smooth, mildly astringent tea with a comforting, nutty aroma rather than sharp bitterness.

• Sencha provides fresh green tea body and light astringency.
• Roasted brown rice adds toasty, popcorn‑like warmth and roundness.
• Matcha deepens color and adds a soft savory richness.
• Overall mouthfeel is smooth and easy to drink hot or cold.

How do I brew these tea bags for the best cup?

Use near‑boiling water briefly for a traditional hot infusion, or cold‑brew overnight for a mellow iced tea. Each tea bag yields a consistent cup—adjust steep time and water temperature to control strength and bitterness.

• Hot brew: 80–85°C (176–185°F), steep 1–2 minutes for balanced flavor.
• Cold brew: place 1 bag per 500 ml water in the fridge for 6–10 hours.
• Double steeping is possible—short second infusion keeps clarity and aroma.
• Use less time or lower temperature to reduce astringency if desired.

Is this tea high in caffeine and when is it best to drink?

Genmaicha traditionally contains less caffeine than straight sencha or pure matcha because the roasted rice dilutes leaf concentration. That makes these tea bags suitable for afternoon or early evening enjoyment when you want a gentler lift without the intensity of high‑caffeine green teas.

• Lower caffeine than typical sencha or matcha‑only drinks.
• Well suited for afternoon or post‑meal sipping.
• Works both as a calming warm cup and a refreshing cold brew.
• Great choice for those sensitive to strong stimulants.

How does this product fit into everyday life or gift giving?

Packaged as 60 individually wrapped bags, this Genmaicha is practical for daily use, entertaining, or as a thoughtful culinary gift. Its combination of authentic Japanese ingredients and approachable flavor makes it appealing to green tea newcomers and enthusiasts alike.

• Single bags deliver consistent quality—easy to portion for one cup.
• Box of 60 lasts through daily rituals or small gatherings.
• Attractive for tea lovers who appreciate traditional Japanese blends.
• Good option for seasonal gifts like Father's Day or summer hosting.
