YAMAHA Yamalube Outboard Fuel Additive, 12 oz Ring Free PLUS — Cleans Deposits & Protects Against Ethanol Corrosion

Yamaha Yamalube Ring Free PLUS is a 12-ounce fuel additive that cleans deposits and helps protect marine fuel systems from ethanol-related corrosion. Yamalube Ring Free PLUS is formulated for outboard and marine engines to remove carbon deposits and protect fuel-system metals from ethanol sulfate salt corrosion. This concentrated bottle treats gasoline to clean injectors, carburetors, intake ports, valves and combustion chambers while providing stabilization against oxidation and phase separation when used as directed. The formula builds on more than two decades of Ring Free technology and includes fuel-stabilizing conditioners to help maintain performance during storage and seasonal downtime.

How does Yamalube Ring Free PLUS clean my engine's fuel system?

The additive contains detergents and solvents designed to dissolve and suspend carbon deposits and varnish that accumulate on injectors, carburetors and intake passages. Regular treatment helps restore spray patterns and combustion efficiency without mechanical disassembly.

• Removes deposits from fuel injectors and carburetor bores.
• Clears intake valves, intake ports and combustion chambers.
• Improves fuel spray and combustion consistency for smoother running.

Will this product protect my marine engine from ethanol-related corrosion?

Yes — Ring Free PLUS includes chemistry to fight ethanol sulfate salt corrosion that can attack fuel-system metals. The formulation also contains corrosion inhibitors to shield metal parts during normal use and storage.

• Combats ethanol sulfate salt formation in fuel systems.
• Coats metal surfaces to reduce corrosive attack.
• Suitable for regular marine use to preserve fuel-system components.

How does it help with fuel stability and seasonal storage?

In addition to cleaning and corrosion protection, Yamalube Ring Free PLUS acts as a stabilizer to slow fuel oxidation and reduce phase separation risk in ethanol-blended fuels. This helps keep fuel usable longer during lay-up or infrequent use.

• Stabilizes gasoline to reduce varnish and gum formation during storage.
• Helps prevent ethanol phase separation when stored for extended periods.
• Useful as a pre-season treatment and before long-term storage.

How should I use the 12-ounce bottle for best results?

The 12 oz bottle is a concentrated dose intended to treat a specified volume of gasoline according to label directions. Follow the dosing instructions on the package for your tank size and repeat treatment at recommended intervals for maintenance cleaning and protection.

• Measure and add the correct dose for your fuel tank capacity.
• Use before storage and periodically during the season for upkeep.
• Compatible with outboard engines and other marine gasoline systems when used as directed.

Who is this for Yamalube Ring Free PLUS 12 oz is designed for boat owners, anglers, marina technicians and anyone who operates Yamaha outboards or other marine gasoline engines that use ethanol-blended fuels. It's useful for routine maintenance, seasonal storage preparation, and restoring performance in carbureted or fuel-injected marine engines. Avoid using it in systems or applications not specified on the label; consult your Yamaha dealer or the product instructions for application limits and compatibility.
