Xfinity XR15 Voice Control Remote for X1 Xi6 Xi5 XG2 — Backlit Replacement with Voice Search

This XR15 remote (also sold as the X1 Voice Remote) combines voice search, an illuminated keypad and one‑button access to guide and DVR features so you can find shows faster and control playback with fewer button presses. It ships new in a sealed bag with batteries and a quick start guide, and supports automatic pairing for a quick setup with compatible Xfinity boxes.

How do I use voice commands to find shows and channels?

Speak directly into the remote to search titles, request channels, or ask for recommendations. The voice system interprets program names, categories (like "comedies"), and simple commands such as "record" or "play" to act on live TV, XFINITY On Demand and DVR content.

• Built‑in microphone accepts natural language queries.
• Say channel names or numbers to tune instantly.
• Ask for genres, actors or titles for quick browsing.
• Use voice to control DVR and on‑demand playback (record, play, pause).

Will the XR15 control my TV and audio devices?

The XR15 can be programmed with TV and AV receiver codes so volume and power work through a single remote. When paired with a valid TV code, the Power button toggles your television and the set‑top box together; some firmware variants also allow audio device power control.

• Consolidated Power button toggles TV and cable box when programmed.
• VOL+ and VOL‑ operate TV or AV receiver volume once set up.
• Mute and channel buttons function with the paired devices.
• Automatic pairing reduces manual code lookup during setup.

What playback and accessibility features does it offer?

The XR15 includes standard transport controls for live streaming, DVR and On Demand: play/pause, rewind, fast forward and record. Accessibility features such as closed captioning, video description and voice guidance are accessible quickly through the remote for viewers who need them.

• Play/Pause, FF, Rew and Record for DVR and On Demand management.
• Exit returns to live TV or exits on‑screen menus.
• Status LED shows pairing and activity states.
• Dedicated guide and Xfinity buttons open menus and listings fast.

The remote is backlit for use in low light and includes batteries so it's ready out of the box. Its aim‑anywhere design lets you control the box without pointing precisely, and the compact button layout keeps frequently used functions within easy reach.

Who is this for? The Xfinity XR15 is ideal for X1, Xi6, Xi5 or XG2 subscribers who want faster search and playback control using voice, need a backlit remote for nighttime viewing, or require quick access to accessibility options. It's also suited for anyone replacing a lost or malfunctioning Xfinity remote and wants a plug‑and‑play pairing experience.
