XFasten Double Sided Woodworking Tape 1 in x108 ft (3-Pack) — Residue-Free Removable Cloth Backed

Whether you’re splicing boards, holding a template for a router pass, or attaching edge banding, this tape is designed to deliver dependable grip during the cut and clean release afterward. Developed with input from professional woodworkers, the tape balances strong initial tack with a silicone-based adhesive that removes cleanly and minimizes surface damage on wood and MDF.

How does this tape perform during routing and CNC operations?

The cloth backing resists curling and maintains flat contact across curves and edges, so the tape holds templates and workpieces steady under vibration. Its thickness and tack were selected to avoid lifting during aggressive machine cuts while still peeling off without tearing the substrate.

• Cloth-reinforced backing reduces edge lift and curl under tooling stress.
• Calibrated thickness prevents tape squeeze-out or undue movement.
• Strong initial tack keeps templates and jigs stable during passes.
• Removes cleanly to protect finished surfaces and save cleanup time.

Will the adhesive damage or leave residue on wood and MDF?

The tape uses a silicone-based adhesive formulated for clean removal from delicate wood surfaces and composites. In most typical woodworking and cabinetry scenarios it lifts away without adhesive residue or surface chipping, preserving your final finish.

• Silicone adhesive minimizes leftover stickiness after removal.
• Designed to peel without chipping veneer, lacquer, or bare wood.
• Suitable for temporary assembly, mounting, and holding templates.

What woodworking tasks is this tape best suited for?

It excels at template holding, edge banding, splicing, and short-term mounting tasks where strong hold is required during machining but easy removal is necessary afterwards. It also works for hobby projects, shop fixtures, and craft applications where neat results matter.

• Holding router templates and jigs for precise cutting.
• Edge banding and temporary clamping during installation.
• Splicing boards for gluing and aligning during joinery.
• Mounting boards or patterns for CNC, sanding, or finishing prep.

How do I apply and remove the tape for best results?

Apply to clean, dry surfaces and press firmly across the length to set the cloth backing flat. When removing, peel slowly at a low angle to reduce stress on veneer and to ensure the adhesive releases evenly.

• Clean the surface of dust, oil, and loose debris before application.
• Use a roller or firm hand pressure to ensure full contact.
• Peel back gently at a low angle to avoid surface lifting.
• Store rolls flat in a cool, dry place to preserve adhesive life.
