WOOF Walkabout Adjustable Slow-Feeder & Rolling Puzzle Toy for Dogs 40 lbs+ — Quiet Rubber, Dishwasher-Safe

The WOOF Walkabout is an adjustable slow-feeder and rolling puzzle toy that turns mealtime into active enrichment for dogs 40 pounds and larger.

Designed to slow down eating, stimulate natural foraging instincts, and provide physical activity, the Walkabout combines treat dispensing with unpredictable rolling motion. Built of scuff-resistant quiet rubber and with five rotator settings plus a lock-out, it accommodates kibble, treats, or WOOF Puzzle Treats and cleans easily in the dishwasher. The toy is meant to challenge the mind, burn off energy, and make routine feeding more engaging for medium and large dogs.

How does the Walkabout slow down meals and reduce gulping?

Instead of allowing access to a bowlful of kibble, the Walkabout releases food only as the toy rolls and rotates, forcing your dog to work and pace itself. The adjustable dial changes how much or how little comes out, so you can tune the challenge for your pet’s speed and skill.

• Five hole sizes on the rotator control portion flow of kibble or treats.
• Lock-out zone prevents dispensing during travel or storage.
• Rolling, wobbling action slows access to food and encourages play.
• Compatible with kibble, small to large treats, and WOOF Puzzle Treats.

What makes the Walkabout a durable choice for active dogs?

The toy uses a quiet, scuff-resistant rubber that withstands indoor and outdoor play while keeping noise low. Its construction resists wear from regular rolling and pawing, and the components disassemble for straightforward cleaning.

• Scuff-resistant rubber stands up to energetic play without loud scraping.
• Dishwasher-safe parts simplify cleanup after meals or messy treats.
• Stable, weighted base helps prevent tipping while still allowing unpredictable motion.
• Designed for dogs 40 lbs and up — built to handle larger mouths and stronger nudges.

How do I adjust difficulty and use the Walkabout effectively?

Turn the external dial to choose one of five dispenser holes for different treat sizes and release rates. Start with an easier setting while your dog learns, then gradually increase difficulty to maintain engagement and mental challenge.

• Choose a larger opening for quick treats, smaller for slower feeding.
• Use the lock-out setting to safely transport or store the toy with treats inside.
• Pair with WOOF Puzzle Treats or your dog’s kibble for consistent sizing and flow.
• Supervise the first few sessions so your dog learns the motion and reward loop.

Can I use the Walkabout for exercise and enrichment beyond meals?

Yes — the unpredictable rolling motion encourages chasing, pawing, and sniffing, turning a simple reward into a short workout. Regular use stimulates the brain, curbs boredom-related behaviors, and provides low-impact activity for dogs that need mental and physical outlets.

• Rolls and wobbles to promote active play rather than sedentary feeding.
• Stimulates scent work and problem-solving instincts during treat retrieval.
• Suitable for indoor and outdoor sessions — just rinse or place in the dishwasher after use.
• Adjustable challenge keeps long-term use interesting for motivated dogs.

Who is this for: The WOOF Walkabout best fits owners of medium-to-large dogs (around 40 lbs and up) who want to slow down mealtimes, reduce gulping, and add enrichment to their pet’s daily routine. It’s a practical option for dogs that need extra mental stimulation or light exercise during feeding, for multi-dog households where puzzle feeding can reduce competition, and for anyone looking for a durable, easy-to-clean interactive feeder that accepts a variety of kibble and treat sizes.
