Woods 50ft Outdoor Extension Cord 16/2 Bright Orange – SJTW Weather-Resistant, Molded Plugs

The Woods 50-foot 16/2 SJTW outdoor extension cord is a weather-resistant, bright-orange power cord built for light-duty landscaping and outdoor appliance use with reinforced blades and molded plugs for durability.

This heavy-visibility extension cord combines a flexible 16-gauge conductor with an SJTW vinyl jacket designed to resist moisture, abrasion and sunlight. It’s intended for general indoor and outdoor tasks where a dependable, easy-to-see cord is useful—gardening, power washers, lawn equipment, holiday lights and jobsite tasks that don’t demand heavy industrial amperage.

How does this cord hold up outside?

The SJTW vinyl jacket offers protection from water, sunlight and everyday abrasion so the cord remains functional across seasons. Reinforced blades and heavy-duty strain relief reduce wear at stress points to extend usable life.

• Vinyl SJTW jacket resists moisture and UV exposure
• Reinforced blades prevent bending and breakage
• Molded plugs and strain relief protect the connection
• Outer jacket won’t mark floors or walls during use

Is this cord safe and certified?

The cord meets multiple safety listings for household and outdoor use, so it adheres to standard electrical safety benchmarks. It’s suitable for general-purpose power where a 16/2 cord is appropriate, but not for heavy-duty, high-amperage tools.

• UL listed, cUL listed and ETL listed
• Manufactured to meet OSHA guidelines for outdoor cords
• 16/2 gauge recommended for light-duty appliances and tools
• Bright orange color enhances visibility to reduce trip hazards

What tasks is a 16/2, 50-foot cord best for?

This cord is ideal for everyday outdoor jobs that need moderate power without heavy current draw. It’s a convenient length for yards, patios and around the house when you need reach rather than high wattage.

• Landscaping tools like hedge trimmers or electric trimmers
• Patio lighting, small water features, and holiday decorations
• Light-duty shop tools and power tools with modest amperage
• Temporary jobsite power for non-industrial equipment

Who is this for?

Choose this cord when you need a balance of flexibility, weather resistance and visible safety for routine yard work, seasonal decorating, and general-purpose power around the home or small jobsite.
