Wondercide Flea & Tick Shampoo for Dogs & Cats — Cedarwood 12 fl oz, Plant-Based, Kills Fleas on Contact

Wondercide Flea & Tick Shampoo in cedarwood is a plant-based wash that kills fleas on contact and helps repel ticks for up to 24 hours while cleansing and conditioning your dog or cat.

This shampoo combines botanical actives with a pH-balanced formula to address active flea or tick issues while leaving coats soft and smelling faintly of warm cedarwood. Independently tested for performance, the liquid lathers and rinses clean, is suitable for pets aged four months and older, and is free from synthetic dyes and artificial fragrances. It’s made in the USA, cruelty-free, and comes in recyclable packaging, making it a practical first step in an integrated pest-control routine.

How quickly does this shampoo work against fleas?

The formula acts on fleas by contact during the bath, so treated pests are affected immediately when they encounter the shampoo. For an active infestation, this product is intended as an initial treatment to reduce the flea population while you follow up with other control measures.

• Contact-kill effect during bathing
• Visible reduction in live fleas after a single thorough wash
• Recommended alongside sprays or yard treatments for longer control

Will this cedarwood formula keep ticks away?

Natural cedarwood oil in the shampoo helps repel ticks for up to 24 hours after bathing. Use it as part of a broader prevention plan, since residual protection from a shampoo is shorter than topical or oral medications designed specifically for long-term tick prevention.

• Provides short-term tick repellency up to 24 hours
• Best combined with targeted tick products for ongoing protection
• Safe to use weekly as needed on pets four months and older

Is this shampoo safe for my puppy or kitten?

Yes—this shampoo is formulated for dogs and cats aged four months and older and is designed to be gentle on skin. It’s pH-balanced for pets, lathers well, and rinses out without leaving heavy residue, but always follow label directions and avoid contact with eyes.

• Suitable for cats and dogs 4+ months
• No artificial colors, dyes, or synthetic fragrances
• Cruelty-free and made in the USA

How should I use this shampoo for best results?

Apply a generous amount to thoroughly wet fur, massage to work into a lather across the skin and coat, then allow contact time before rinsing for maximum effect. Repeat use up to once per week if needed, and pair with complementary home and yard products for a complete pest-management approach.

• Wet pet fully, lather shampoo into the skin and coat
• Allow contact time before rinsing; repeat if infestation persists
• Use with Wondercide Pets + Home and Yard sprays for broader control

Who is this for: This shampoo suits pet owners looking for a plant-powered alternative to conventional flea-and-tick washes—especially those who prefer natural essential oil scents and want a safe cleansing option for dogs and cats aged four months and up. It’s a good choice when you need a gentle, effective wash to reduce active pests and refresh your pet’s coat, but you should combine it with ongoing preventive measures for season-long protection.
