WILSON AVP OPTX Game Volleyball – Official Size Yellow/Black with Visual Spin Technology for Improved Visibility

The WILSON AVP OPTX Game Volleyball is the official AVP beach volleyball engineered with Visual Spin Technology to make the ball easier to see and track in outdoor play.

Built on the same construction you trust from the AVP series, the OPTX adds a visual redesign that improves on-court awareness. Bright yellow and black Optic Flow graphics and VST™ color variance help your eye register rotation and flight, so you can anticipate passes, reads, and serves in mixed lighting and busy beach backgrounds.

How does the visual design help me read the ball faster?

The OPTX uses Visual Spin Technology, where contrasting color panels and directional graphics create clearer cues about the ball’s rotation and trajectory. That makes it easier to spot topspin, float serves, and subtle changes while the ball is in motion.

• VST™ color variance highlights spin and rotation.
• High-contrast yellow/black palette stands out against sky and sand.
• Optic Flow graphics emphasize flight direction for quicker reactions.

Will the OPTX feel different from other AVP balls I’ve used?

No—Wilson kept the same AVP construction and materials so the handling, weight, and responsiveness remain familiar to experienced players. The change is purely visual; expect the same touch, consistent flight, and regulation size but with improved visibility.

• Official AVP construction for known performance.
• Official size and weight for competition and practices.
• Slight expansion possible on first plays—normal for new beach balls.

Is this ball suited to casual players and competitive athletes?

Yes—the OPTX was designed for broad beach use, from weekend pick-up games to pro-level matches. Visual improvements help beginners track the ball better while pros benefit from enhanced reading of opponents’ spin and tempo.

• Durable build for repeated beach play.
• Visual aids support learning and advanced strategy alike.
• Approved by AVP, suitable for tournament play.

How should I care for the ball to keep it performing?

Rinse off sand and salt after play, avoid prolonged sun heating when not in use, and store the ball inflated at recommended pressure. Proper maintenance preserves surface texture, stitching, and color contrast for better visibility.

• Rinse with fresh water to remove salt and sand.
• Keep out of extreme heat and sharp objects.
• Store inflated at moderate pressure for longevity.

Who is this for: The WILSON AVP OPTX Game Volleyball is ideal for beach players who want the official AVP performance with enhanced visual cues—recreational players learning ball control, coaches teaching reads and timing, and competitive athletes seeking a visibility edge during tournaments and training.
