Wild Delight Advanced Formula Squirrel Away Bird Seed 5 lb — Zero-Waste, Capsaicin Deterrent

Wild Delight Advanced Formula Squirrel Away is a 5 lb spicy, zero-waste bird seed mix designed to feed wild birds while discouraging squirrels and reducing feeder mess.

Bring more colorful songbirds to your yard without constant cleanup or persistent squirrel raids. This 5-pound mix combines high-quality seeds with natural capsaicin from chili peppers so squirrels find the blend unpalatable while birds remain unaffected. The zero-waste design also minimizes hulls and scattered debris beneath feeders, keeping feeding areas tidier and reducing food loss.

How does this mix keep squirrels away without harming birds?

The formula uses chili pepper heat, which is irritating to mammals but does not affect birds the same way. That selective deterrent helps discourage squirrels from raiding feeders while allowing finches, cardinals, and other wild birds to feed normally.

• Capsaicin-coated seeds that mammals dislike but birds tolerate
• No chemical poisons or traps—purely behavioral deterrent
• Suitable for common backyard songbirds and seed-eating species

What makes it a "zero waste" bird food?

The blend is formulated to reduce shells, chaff, and lightweight fillers that typically fall from feeders. Less debris means less spilled seed on the ground and fewer visits from ground-foraging animals, simplifying maintenance around feeders.

• Premium ingredients with minimal hulls and no millet or milo
• Less scatter below feeders, so cleanup is easier and neater
• Helps ensure more of the food is eaten by birds, not lost

Which birds are attracted by this Wild Delight formula?

Because the mix focuses on high-quality seeds and avoids large amounts of fillers like corn, it appeals to a wide range of backyard species. Expect visits from seed-loving birds while enjoying fewer squirrel interruptions.

• Attracts finches, cardinals, chickadees, titmice, and nuthatches
• Formulated without corn, milo, or millet to favor preferred seed eaters
• Spicy coating does not deter seed-eating birds

How should I use and store the 5 lb bag for best results?

Keep seed in a cool, dry place and refill feeders as needed to maintain freshness and effectiveness. Use enclosed or tube feeders suited for smaller seeds to reduce access by larger pests and ensure the capsaicin is preserved on the seed surface.

• Store sealed in a dry area to protect flavor and spice coating
• Use bird feeders designed for small seeds to limit spillage
• Refill regularly to present fresh seed and minimize waste

It suits homeowners who prefer a humane, non-toxic squirrel deterrent and who value premium, no-filler ingredients in a convenient 5 lb package.
