Wallaby silica gel desiccant packets 2 g — 350 food-safe reusable moisture absorbers (70x sets of 5) for jars & small boxes

These tiny, pure-white desiccant sachets use non-indicating silica beads inside heat-resistant, coated paper wrappers to trap excess moisture in confined spaces. Each 2 g packet is intended for roughly 240 cubic inches of airspace, making them suitable for small containers, boxes, and pouches where moisture control matters. Because they contain no color-changing indicator beads, you monitor effectiveness by condition and reuse them by gentle heating to drive out absorbed water.

How will these packets protect my food, supplements, and dry goods?

Wallaby silica packets absorb airborne moisture that can soften crisp foods, clump powders, or degrade vitamins. They are manufactured from food-safe materials so they can be placed near but not in direct contact with consumables to extend shelf quality and prevent caking.

• Food-safe formulation suitable for spices, seeds, vitamins, and pet food containers
• Small 2 g size fits into jars, bags, and small storage boxes
• Reduces humidity-related spoilage and clumping without altering flavor
• Place extra packets for larger volumes or high-humidity environments

Can I reuse these desiccant packs and how do I regenerate them?

Yes — the Wallaby packets are rechargeable. Their coated paper and white silica beads tolerate heat, so you can dry them out safely in an oven or microwave following cautious timing and temperature to restore absorption capacity.

• Oven method: 200–250°F for 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on saturation level
• Microwave option: short cycles on defrost (about 7–12 minutes) with supervision
• Allow packets to cool before handling and reuse once fully dry
• Inspect packet integrity; replace if the outer paper shows wear

What household items and valuables benefit most from these 2 g packs?

These packets are optimized for small enclosed spaces and delicate items vulnerable to moisture. Use them anywhere humidity can cause corrosion, mold, or texture changes — from electronics to collectibles — to maintain condition without bulky dehumidifiers.

• Electronics: cameras, phones, and storage boxes to limit condensation risk
• Hobby gear: 3D printer filament, film, seeds, and spices
• Personal items: jewelry, watches, shoes, clothing in storage
• Safes and ammo boxes to reduce rust and mildew potential

How many packets should I use and where should I place them?

Each 2 g packet covers roughly 240 cubic inches; for better protection add extra packets or group packets into the same container. Place them evenly distributed — one per small jar, a few in larger boxes, and near, but not touching, delicate surfaces when possible.

• One packet per small jar or pouch (up to ~240 cubic inches)
• Two to four packets for medium-sized boxes or electronics cases
• Combine packets in a sealed plastic bin for longer-term storage
• Replace or regenerate when packets feel damp to the touch

Who is this for: Wallaby 2 g silica gel packets are a practical, low-cost solution for homeowners, hobbyists, photographers, cooks, and anyone storing small-volume items that can be harmed by humidity. They’re especially useful if you want food-safe desiccants that are easy to reuse, fit into tight spaces, and offer dependable protection without chemical indicators or complicated maintenance.
