Wahl Dry Skin & Itch Relief Dog Shampoo — 64 oz Oatmeal Formula, Coconut Lime Verbena Scent, pH-Balanced & Concentrated

Wahl Dry Skin & Itch Relief Pet Shampoo is a pH-balanced, oatmeal-based dog shampoo in a coconut lime verbena scent formulated to gently cleanse, moisturize, and help soothe irritated skin while leaving coats soft and easy to manage.

This concentrated 64 oz bottle of Wahl shampoo blends colloidal oatmeal with plant-derived surfactants to remove dirt, soothe dryness, and condition fur without common harsh additives. The formula is free from alcohol, parabens, and PEG-80, and it rinses clean to leave a silky finish. Wahl’s professional grooming heritage informs the formulation so you get salon-level performance in a product designed for frequent home use; note some pets may be sensitive to botanical ingredients, so a spot test is advised before full use.

How does this shampoo help dry or itchy skin?

The oatmeal base provides gentle, skin-friendly cleansing while helping retain moisture in dry coats. It’s designed to reduce surface irritation from environmental residue and routine dryness without stripping natural oils.

• Colloidal oatmeal to soothe and comfort sensitive skin.
• Hydrating coconut-derived surfactants that clean gently.
• pH balanced to suit canine skin and reduce tightness after bathing.
• Free of alcohol, parabens, and PEG-80 for a milder wash.

How concentrated is the 64 oz bottle and how many baths will it provide?

This Wahl formula is highly concentrated so you use less product per bath than many standard shampoos. A richer lather and efficient cleansing mean a single bottle can stretch significantly further for multiple-sized dogs.

• Concentrated surfactants reduce amount needed per wash.
• Manufacturer estimates up to 70% more baths versus some leading brands.
• Suitable for regular at-home bathing when used as directed.

Is the scent strong and will it bother my pet?

The coconut lime verbena fragrance is crafted to be fresh but not overpowering; rinses clean to leave a pleasant, lingering scent. Because botanical oils can affect sensitive animals, a brief patch test is recommended before first full bath.

• Coconut lime verbena for a fresh, clean aroma.
• Rinses completely to avoid heavy residue or clingy odors.
• Patch testing advised for pets prone to fragrance sensitivity.

Who should consider using this Wahl shampoo?

This shampoo fits owners seeking a pet-safe, professional-strength solution for dogs with dry, flaky, or mildly irritated skin who prefer formulas without harsh chemicals. It’s a practical choice for multi-dog households, frequent bathers, and groomers who want a labo-quality, concentrated product with a pleasant scent. However, pets with severe skin disease or known plant-oil allergies should be evaluated by a veterinarian before use.

Wahl has supplied grooming professionals and veterinary clinics for decades, and this 64 oz size offers value and performance for home grooming routines. Always perform a 24-hour spot test and consult your veterinarian if your dog has serious dermatological concerns. Packaging and label art may vary as Wahl updates product designs.
