Wagner's Greatest Variety Blend Wild Bird Food, 16 lb — 11-Seed Mix, Sunflower-Forward

Wagner's Greatest Variety Blend is a 16-pound gourmet mix of 11 premium seeds crafted to attract the widest range of backyard songbirds.

Designed by Wagner's for backyard bird enthusiasts, this blend combines multiple sunflower varieties, millets, cracked corn, nyjer, safflower, peanut kernels and more to appeal to both feeder and ground-foraging species. The formula emphasizes sunflower seeds—over 40% of the mix—offering both hulled and unhulled options and sizes so birds from finches to jays can feed comfortably. Whether you use a tube, hopper, or platform feeder, this bag supplies a steady, high-quality source of nutrition to welcome a lively mix of birds to your yard.

Which birds are most likely to visit when I use this blend?

This blend targets a broad range of common backyard species. Sunflower-heavy portions attract many songbirds, while millet and cracked corn appeal to ground-feeders. Nyjer and safflower bring in finches, cardinals, and species with specific preferences.

• Black oil, striped sunflower, and sunflower chips draw chickadees, cardinals, finches, jays, and grosbeaks.
• White and red millet, cracked corn, and red milo attract sparrows, juncos, and mourning doves.
• Nyjer and canary seed are favored by finches and smaller seed eaters.
• Peanut kernels and safflower appeal to woodpeckers, titmice, and some larger songbirds.

How should I feed Wagner's Greatest Variety Blend to get the best results?

The mix is formulated for flexibility across feeder types to match your yard setup and local bird habits. Use tube feeders for smaller species, hopper feeders for medium-sized birds, and platform or tray feeders to reach ground-foraging visitors. Regularly clean feeders and refill to maintain freshness and encourage repeat visits.

• Tube feeders work well for hulled sunflower and nyjer portions.
• Hopper feeders hold large volumes and suit mixed-sizes in the bag.
• Platform feeders and ground trays draw sparrows, doves, and juncos to millet and cracked corn.
• Rotate feeder placement for safety and to observe different visitor species.

What makes this bag different from single-seed mixes?

Unlike single-ingredient seed bags, Wagner's Greatest Variety Blend combines 11 ingredients to meet the feeding habits of many bird species. Multiple sunflower types provide both size and husk options, increasing accessibility for large and small-beaked birds. The diversity reduces waste by offering something attractive to a greater number of species, so fewer seeds are ignored.

• Over 40% sunflower content boosts attraction for the most common feeder birds.
• Multiple seed sizes support varied beak shapes and feeding behaviors.
• Inclusion of nyjer and safflower draws finches and cardinals that ignore plain mixes.
• Balanced grains (millet, milo, cracked corn) pull ground-feeding species into view.

Can I expect consistent quality and where is this made?

Wagner's blends this product using high-quality grains selected for outdoor feeding and bird preference. The mix is prepared to perform across seasons and feeder types, with an emphasis on seed variety and freshness. Packaging size and ingredients make it a practical choice for regular feeders and those wanting to attract multiple species.

• Highest-quality grains used in blending for better acceptance by birds.
• Made in the USA to common quality and sourcing standards.
• 16-pound bag sized for sustained feeding or larger yards.

Who is this for? This 16-pound Wagner's Greatest Variety Blend is ideal for backyard birdwatchers who want a single, flexible seed mix to attract a broad assortment of songbirds and ground feeders. It suits homeowners using multiple feeder types, people who enjoy watching diverse bird activity, and anyone who prefers a ready-made, high-sunflower blend rather than buying separate seed types.
