Victor Snake-A-Way Outdoor Snake Repellent Granules — 10 lb Bag, EPA-Registered Perimeter Protection (Up to 1.25 Acres)

Victor Snake-A-Way Outdoor Granules are a ready-to-use, EPA-registered granular repellent that creates an invisible barrier to deter snakes around yards and outbuildings.

If you want a practical way to reduce snake encounters on your property, this 10 lb bag of Victor Snake-A-Way offers broad coverage and an easy application method. The granules contain active ingredients that target a snake’s scent-sensing organ, encouraging them to move away from treated areas. One application protects large areas — up to about 1.25 acres — and lasts for several months under normal weather conditions, making it a convenient option for seasonal yard care.

How quickly does Victor Snake-A-Way start working?

The product begins to deter snakes immediately after application as the granules release scent compounds that snakes find aversive. Effectiveness improves as the treated band settles into place and covers potential entry points.

• Immediate activity upon spreading the granules
• Best results once granules have settled into the soil surface and undergrowth
• Reapply after heavy rain to restore full potency

How should I apply the granules for different snake types?

Application is simple and varies by target species: narrow bands are sufficient for smaller snakes while wider bands offer better protection against larger species. Focus on perimeters of yards, buildings, sheds, and gardens where snakes might enter or travel.

• Garter snakes: 4–5 inch wide bands along perimeters
• Rattlesnakes and larger species: 8–12 inch wide bands for added coverage
• Cover gaps, foundations, fence lines, and garden edges for a continuous barrier

How long does one application last, and what affects longevity?

A single application typically repels snakes for about 2–3 months under normal conditions, but environmental factors will influence duration. Heavy rain, irrigation, or frequent foot traffic can reduce effectiveness and require earlier reapplication.

• Typical protection window: 2–3 months
• Reapply sooner after heavy rain or washing
• Inspect treated bands periodically and refresh as needed

Is this safe to use around homes and outdoor living spaces?

Victor Snake-A-Way is the only EPA-registered snake repellent in its category, formulated for outdoor perimeter use around residential properties. Follow label directions, keep granules away from areas used by children and pets, and avoid direct contact with edible plants and water sources.

• Intended for outdoor perimeter and landscape use—follow label instructions
• Keep out of reach of children and pets; avoid planting beds and vegetable gardens
• Store securely and reapply only as recommended

Who is this for: Victor Snake-A-Way 10 lb granules suit homeowners, cabin owners, and caretakers of larger properties who want a straightforward, EPA-registered repellent to reduce snake presence around yards, patios, sheds, and outbuildings.
