vhbw 42V Charger for Jetson Electric Bikes and Scooters - 5.5x2.5mm Barrel, 2A, ETL/SGS Safety

vhbw 42V charger is a direct replacement power adapter made to recharge compatible Jetson 42V electric bikes and scooters that use a 5.5 x 2.5mm barrel connector.

This compact charger supplies DC 42V at up to 2A with an input range of 100–240V AC and includes built-in safety protections. It’s intended as a practical spare or replacement for lost, damaged or aging Jetson chargers, but it is not a universal adapter — model fit depends on matching the device’s voltage, plug size and charging port.

How do I know this charger fits my Jetson bike or scooter?

Confirm compatibility by matching three things: your vehicle’s required voltage (42V), the plug size (5.5 x 2.5mm barrel), and the model list that uses this specification. Compare the label on your original charger or the charging port on your vehicle before purchasing to avoid mismatches.

• Check the charger label for Output: DC 42V, Max 2A.
• Measure or inspect the plug for a 5.5 x 2.5mm barrel connector.
• Reference the compatible Jetson models listed by vhbw for guidance.

What Jetson models are compatible, and which are not?

This vhbw charger works with many Jetson 42V models that use a 5.5 x 2.5mm plug, including Bolt series, Adventure, Journey, Shadow, LX10, J5, J8 and select scooters such as Eris and Ora Pro. It will not work with Jetson models that use three-prong connectors or operate at different voltages like 24V, 25.2V or 29.4V, nor with lead-acid battery systems.

• Compatible examples: Bolt, Bolt Pro, Adventure, Journey, Shadow, LX10, J5, J8, Eris, Ora Pro, Racer, Rhythm, Ryder.
• Not compatible: Haze, Warren, Omega, Canyon, three-prong connector models, or non-42V systems.
• If unsure, compare the original charger label and plug before ordering.

Is this charger safe and what protections does it offer?

The adapter is ETL and SGS certified and includes safety features to guard against common electrical faults. Integrated protection helps prevent over-voltage, over-current, short circuits and overheating during normal use with compatible devices.

• ETL and SGS certifications for independent safety validation.
• Built-in over-voltage, over-current and short-circuit protection.
• Overheat protection for stable charging sessions with compatible batteries.

What’s included and how long is the cable?

The package contains one vhbw 42V DC charger and an AC power cord, giving a combined cable length of approximately 2.7 meters for flexible placement while charging. It’s intended as a like-for-like replacement — the charger is not universal and should only be used with devices that match the listed specifications.

• Contents: 1 x 42V DC charger with AC power cord included.
• Total cord length: about 2.7 meters for convenient reach to outlets.
• Designed for home or garage charging of compatible Jetson models.

Who is this for: This vhbw 42V charger is aimed at Jetson owners who need a replacement or spare charger for compatible 42V bikes and scooters using a 5.5 x 2.5mm barrel plug. Choose this unit if your original charger is lost, damaged, or showing signs of wear — but only buy after confirming voltage and plug compatibility to ensure a safe match.
