Vet One DuoClenz Rawhide Dental Chews for Large Dogs, 30-Count — Beef Rawhide with Dual Enzymes for Plaque Control and Fresh Breat

Vet One DuoClenz Rawhide Dental Chews are beef-based, enzyme-coated rawhide sticks designed to help reduce plaque and freshen breath in large dogs while they chew.

These DuoClenz chews combine a coarse rawhide texture with a dual-enzyme coating—glucose oxidase and lactoperoxidase sourced from dried whey protein concentrate—to support your dog’s oral hygiene as part of a daily routine. Made for larger breeds, each stick is cooked beef rawhide with a poultry flavor to increase palatability. The product arrives in a 30-count bag from Vet One, a U.S.-based animal health brand.

How do DuoClenz chews help keep my dog’s mouth cleaner?

Mechanical abrasion from the rawhide surface helps scrape away soft plaque while the enzyme coating activates in saliva to act on oral residues. This combination aims to complement regular tooth brushing and professional cleanings.

• Coarse rawhide texture provides physical scrubbing action.
• Dual enzymes (glucose oxidase and lactoperoxidase) activate on contact with saliva.
• Continuous chewing delivers prolonged contact with tooth surfaces.

Will my large dog actually enjoy the flavor and size?

These sticks are made from cooked beef rawhide and finished with a poultry flavor to increase acceptance in finicky eaters. The dimensions and density are chosen for larger breeds so the chews last longer and provide satisfying resistance for strong jaws.

• Beef rawhide base for durable chewing.
• Poultry flavor coating to encourage chewing interest.
• Large-size format suits medium-to-large breed jaw strength.

Are these safe to give regularly, and how should I use them?

Use DuoClenz chews as an occasional daily treat and a supplemental dental aid—not a replacement for veterinary dental care. Always supervise your dog while chewing and offer the appropriate size for their weight and chewing style to reduce choking or ingestion risks.

• Offer one chew at a time and monitor for aggressive gulping.
• Replace with fresh chews once consumed or fragmented into small pieces.
• Consult your veterinarian for frequency recommendations for your dog.

What makes the enzyme application different on these dental sticks?

DuoClenz uses a patented surface application process so the enzyme blend is concentrated on the chew’s exterior. When saliva contacts the coating, the enzymes disperse quickly to interact with oral residues, delivering an immediate enzymatic effect while the dog chews.

• Patented coating method places enzymes where saliva first contacts the chew.
• Designed to release enzymatic activity quickly during chewing sessions.
• Works alongside the chew’s abrasive surface for combined action.

Who is this for: Vet One DuoClenz Rawhide Dental Chews are best suited for owners of medium-to-large dogs who want an easy-to-administer chew that supports routine oral care. They’re appropriate for dogs that enjoy firm chews and benefit from enzyme-enhanced surfaces; they are not a substitute for veterinary dental treatment or daily tooth brushing, and owners should supervise chewing and select the right size and frequency for their pet.
