How do I use the HappyLight Lucent each morning?

Using the lamp is straightforward: place it within your sightline, turn it on with the single power button, and sit within the recommended distance for a session. Sessions commonly range from 20 to 60 minutes depending on your needs and the distance to the light. Because the Lucent emits UV-free light and avoids flicker, it’s suitable for everyday use without harsh glare.

• One-touch on/off button — no setup required
• Position vertically or horizontally with the detachable stand
• Typical sessions: 20–60 minutes depending on placement
• Full-spectrum, UV-free LED for comfortable bright white light

How portable and adaptable is the lamp for travel or small spaces?

The Lucent’s thin tablet design and removable stand were made for portability and adaptable placement. Remove the stand to fit the lamp in a bag or briefcase, or use the stand to angle the light on a desk, nightstand, or counter. Its compact footprint makes it easy to use in apartments, offices, and hotel rooms.

• Ultra-thin tablet body packs easily into a travel bag
• Detachable bidirectional stand for vertical or horizontal use
• Light, compact profile ideal for desks and bedside tables
• Easy to switch between locations without tools

What safety and performance features should I know about?

Designed with user comfort and consistent output in mind, this lamp delivers up to 10,000 lux of bright white light while filtering out UV. The LEDs are engineered to minimize flicker and hotspots, producing even illumination across the panel. Verilux also backs the Lucent with customer support and a three-year warranty for added peace of mind.

• Up to 10,000 lux of bright white, full-spectrum LED light
• UV-free output for safer exposure than direct sunlight
• Engineered to reduce glare, flicker, and uneven hotspots
• Three-year manufacturer warranty and U.S.-based support

How should I position the lamp for the best effects?

Place the Lucent so the light is within your peripheral or direct line of sight, tilted with the stand to hit your face and eyes indirectly. Closer placement increases intensity and can shorten session length, while farther placement requires longer sessions. Always start with shorter durations to find what feels best for you.

• Angle the lamp toward your face but avoid staring directly into the light
• Adjust distance: closer for shorter sessions, farther for longer exposure
• Use vertical or horizontal stand orientation to tailor beam direction
• Begin with shorter sessions and increase as you determine comfort
