Bring breezy seaside style to your snail mail with the Sailboats Postcard stamps. Designed by Libby VanderPloeg and art-directed by Antonio Alcalá, the pair of abstract sailboat images use bright, joyful colors and hand-drawn lettering to evoke a sunny day on the water. Sold as one sheet containing 20 Forever Postcard stamps, this product is intended specifically for postcards and should not be used for regular letter envelopes.

What makes these stamps different from regular Forever stamps?

Postcard stamps have a different denomination and purpose than standard First-Class Forever stamps. They are priced to cover the postage required for postcards alone and showcase compact artwork suited to small-format mail.

• Denomination: valid for postcard-rate postage only.
• Artwork: two distinct sailboat illustrations on the same sheet.
• Quantity: 20 stamps per sheet for multiple mailings.
• Designed by Libby VanderPloeg with art direction by Antonio Alcalá.

How should I use Sailboats Postcard stamps for mailing?

These stamps are best applied to standard postcards where postcard-rate postage applies. They are sized to fit a postcard corner and pair well with coastal-themed notes, invitations, or travel updates.

• Place one stamp in the upper-right corner of a postcard.
• Use for domestic postcard mailing at the postcard rate.
• Not suitable for standard envelopes unless additional postage brings weight and size to postcard rate equivalency is met (check local rates).
• Ideal for vacation greetings, event RSVPs, and small promotional mailers.

What are the visual and design details of the stamps?

The sheet presents two complementary abstract sailboat designs rendered in bold colors and simplified shapes. Lettering for the word “postcard” was created freehand digitally, lending a handcrafted touch to the modern illustrations.

• Two separate sailboat illustrations repeat across the sheet.
• Abstract, colorful composition emphasizes mood over photorealism.
• Hand-drawn digital lettering adds bespoke character.
• Clean margins and perforations for easy separation.

They suit frequent postcard senders who want a cheerful, artistic match to beachy or travel-themed correspondence, and they also make attractive small gifts or stocking stuffers for stamp enthusiasts.
