U.S. Pool Supply Above-Ground Pool Skimmer — Floating Wall-Mount Surface Skimmer with Removable Strainer

The U.S. Pool Supply Above Ground Pool Skimmer is a wall-mounted floating surface skimmer that automatically removes leaves and debris before they sink, working with your filter pump to keep the water clear.

This lightweight polypropylene skimmer is built for above-ground pools with inflatable collars, tubular frames, or most metal structures. Designed to clip onto the pool wall with adjustable brackets, it channels surface water through a removable strainer basket and into your pump, reducing manual scooping and improving filter efficiency. The skimmer resists pool chemicals and ships with the hose, adapter, and mounting hardware needed for straightforward installation.

How does the skimmer remove debris from the pool surface?

The skimmer floats at the waterline and uses the suction created by your pump to draw surface water through its mouth and into the strainer basket. Floating debris is trapped in the basket while cleaner water is sent to the filter, so less debris sinks to the bottom.

• Works with a filter pump (recommended minimum 800 GPH / 3,028 L/hr)
• Strainer basket catches leaves, bugs, and floaters before they sink
• Connects to pump via supplied hose and adapter for continuous skimming
• Reduces load on vacuuming and manual skimming

How easy is installation and what pool types does it fit?

Installation is tool-light and designed for most above-ground pool walls. Two adjustable mounting brackets adapt to inflatable collars, tubular frames, and many metal-frame pools, and the included clamp and instructions make setup fast.

• Two adjustable height brackets for varied wall thicknesses
• Clamp-on bracket—do not over-tighten to avoid damage
• Includes connector hose and adapter for standard pump hookups
• Mounting works with common above-ground pool constructions

What maintenance does the skimmer require and how do I clean it?

Maintenance is minimal: periodically remove and empty the strainer basket and rinse the skimmer body. Because the basket is easy to pull out, you can clear accumulated leaves and debris in seconds without tools.

• Pull-out strainer basket for quick debris removal
• Rinse basket with hose; inspect skimmer body for obstructions
• Check hose and adapter for snug, leak-free connections
• Recommended pump flow: 800 GPH (3,028 L/hr) or higher for best performance

Will this skimmer withstand pool chemicals and outdoor use?

The body is molded from durable polypropylene that resists common pool chemicals and UV exposure. With reasonable care and correct mounting, it provides season-long service in typical backyard pool environments.

• Polypropylene construction resists degradation from pool sanitizers
• UV-tolerant design for outdoor exposure
• Avoid over-tightening the clamp to preserve bracket integrity
• Backed by a one-year replacement policy for buyer confidence

Who is this for: The U.S. Pool Supply Above Ground Pool Skimmer is ideal for homeowners with above-ground pools who want to cut down on manual skimming and reduce debris load on their filters. It suits pools with inflatable collars, tubular or metal frames, and owners using a pump with roughly 800 GPH or greater. If you want an easy-to-install, low-maintenance accessory to keep the water surface clean between weekly cleanings, this skimmer is a practical addition to your pool care routine.
