The TUG Original Retractable Dog Leash, 16 ft (Small, White) is a compact, easy-to-control leash made for dogs under 35 lbs that combines a 16-foot tape, smooth retracting coil, and an ergonomic anti-slip handle.

Designed for daily neighborhood walks, park outings, and quick errands, this TUG retractable leash offers a balance of freedom and control for smaller dogs. The 16-foot tape lets your pup explore safely while the quick lock/unlock and 360-degree tangle-free movement keep handling simple. Built with a heavy-duty internal coil, this small-sized leash is tailored to pets under 35 pounds and packaged in a clean white finish that fits modern gear collections.

How does this leash improve control during walks?

The TUG retractable mechanism gives you instant length adjustment so you can shorten or extend leash distance without changing your grip. A responsive quick-lock button allows you to stop the tape at any length and release it smoothly when needed. The 360-degree tape rotation helps prevent tangles, keeping the line free and predictable while moving.

• Quick lock/unlock with one-thumb operation for fast response
• 16-foot tape for flexible roaming range
• 360-degree swivel to reduce twisting and snags
• Heavy-duty internal coil for reliable retraction

Is this leash comfortable for long walks?

The handle is molded for a soft, ergonomic hold that reduces hand strain on extended outings. Its anti-slip texture improves grip in wet or sweaty conditions, making it easier to keep control when your dog pulls or changes pace. The compact housing sits comfortably in the palm, allowing natural wrist posture during use.

• Ergonomic anti-slip handle that conforms to your hand
• Lightweight body to limit arm fatigue
• Balanced weight distribution for steady control

Will this leash hold up to everyday use?

Built with a reinforced internal coil and durable tape, the TUG Original leans toward longevity for routine walks and busy schedules. The mechanism is engineered for consistent retraction to keep the tape taut and responsive over time. Note that retractable leashes are not appropriate for dogs that chew the tape; frequent chewing will damage any tape-style leash.

• Heavy-duty internal coil for consistent performance
• Durable 16 ft tape made for daily use
• Not suitable for dogs who habitually chew leashes

How do I choose the right size and use it safely?

This Small size is recommended for dogs under 35 lbs; there are Medium and Large options for bigger pets. Always check the leash housing and tape before use, keep your thumb near the quick-lock for sudden stops, and prefer shorter lengths in crowded areas. Retractable leashes provide freedom but require attentive handling around traffic, other dogs, and cyclists.

• Small: for dogs under 35 lbs; also available in Medium and Large
• Inspect tape and housing regularly for wear
• Keep leash locked at shorter lengths near hazards or crowds
