TP-Link Deco XE75 AXE5400 WiFi 6E Mesh Node 1-Pack — Tri‑Band (6GHz), Covers up to 2,900 sq.ft, AI‑Driven Mesh

The TP‑Link Deco XE75 AXE5400 is a WiFi 6E tri‑band mesh node that delivers faster multi‑device performance, adds a new 6 GHz band, and can replace both router and extender to cover up to 2,900 sq.ft.

Modern homes need more bandwidth and less interference. The Deco XE75 brings WiFi 6E to a mesh setup so you can expand a single, seamless network with a dedicated 6 GHz channel for high‑speed devices and reliable backhaul. It works with most internet providers and integrates into TP‑Link’s AI‑driven mesh ecosystem for automated optimization and easier management through the Deco app.

How does the 6 GHz band improve home WiFi?

The 6 GHz spectrum reduces congestion by reserving airspace for WiFi 6 devices; that means fewer competing signals from older equipment. By default the XE75 can use 6 GHz as a backhaul between nodes for stable links, or you can enable it to serve 6E client devices for maximum throughput.

• 2402 Mbps on the 6 GHz band (HE160) for compatible devices
• Less interference from legacy 2.4/5 GHz traffic
• Option to switch 6 GHz between device network and node backhaul

What real speeds and device capacity should I expect?

True tri‑band operation combines three radios to deliver up to AXE5400 total throughput across 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz bands. That translates to strong performance for streaming, gaming and many smart home devices simultaneously without a single congested channel.

• Total theoretical throughput up to 5,400 Mbps (AXE5400)
• 2.4 GHz: 574 Mbps for legacy and long‑range devices
• 5 GHz: 2402 Mbps; 6 GHz: 2402 Mbps (HE160) for high‑bandwidth devices
• Supports roughly 200 connected devices in real‑world home setups

How easy is setup and ongoing management?

Set up takes minutes using the Deco mobile app, which walks you through physical connections and network naming. The app also provides parental controls, device prioritization, and remote management; plus voice control works via Alexa for simple on/off or guest network commands.

• Step‑by‑step setup and visual guidance in Deco app
• TP‑Link HomeShield basic protections and parental controls
• Works with Alexa and supports remote management

How does the AI‑driven mesh help real households?

The XE75’s AI mesh adapts to your environment by learning device behavior and connection quality, then steering traffic to the optimal band or node. That automated tuning reduces manual troubleshooting and keeps performance stable as device loads and interference change.

• Dynamic client steering to the best band and node
• Automatic backhaul optimization using the 6 GHz channel
• Seamless roaming with a single network name across nodes

Who is this for: The Deco XE75 is aimed at homeowners and small apartments that need faster multi‑device WiFi, low‑latency links for gaming and 4K streaming, and future‑proofing for WiFi 6E devices. It’s a good fit if you want to replace both a router and extenders with a single, easy‑to‑manage mesh node and you subscribe to any major ISP (modem usually required). Backed by TP‑Link’s support and a two‑year warranty, it’s targeted at users who want advanced features without complicated configuration.
