TopDirect Locking Hinge for Folding Table Brackets — 4 Pack Black, Heavy-Duty 500 lb Double-Spring

These TopDirect locking hinges are heavy-duty, self-locking folding brackets designed to secure and support folding table legs and other drop-down surfaces.

Built from thick steel with a rust-resistant finish, the TopDirect 4 Pack Locking Hinge for Folding Table Brackets in black gives you a durable, reliable hinge solution for DIY furniture, workbenches, cabinets, and folding tables. Each bracket measures 63 x 68 x 54 mm with a 2.5 mm plate thickness and a double-spring self-locking mechanism that locks at 90 degrees. Rated to support up to 500 pounds when correctly installed, these brackets combine heavy load capacity with compact dimensions and a clean black finish that blends with modern and industrial decor.

How do these hinges lock and release safely?

TopDirect hinges use a built-in double-spring self-locking design so panels snap into a secure 90-degree position and stay locked under load. Releasing the hinge is straightforward: a simple screw-tightening adjustment or manual lift disengages the lock for folding or storage.

• Double-spring mechanism for positive lock engagement
• Locks reliably at 90 degrees to prevent accidental collapse
• Adjustment via screws allows controlled tension and release
• Self-locking action reduces need for extra fasteners

What loads and applications will these brackets handle?

Each bracket is engineered to carry substantial weight—together they support heavy tabletops and work surfaces when mounted properly. Typical uses include fold-down tables, makeshift desks, bench extensions, bed frames and cabinetry where a sturdy, locking hinge is required.

• Rated to support up to 500 pounds when mounted per instructions
• Suitable for folding table legs, workbenches, and drop-leaf desks
• Works well for DIY projects and repairs in garages or workshops
• Rustproof surface makes them suitable for indoor and semi-protected outdoor use

How do I install and maintain these folding brackets?

Installation is straightforward for anyone with basic tools: mark mounting points, pre-drill pilot holes in the mounting surfaces, and fasten using appropriately sized screws or bolts. Maintenance is minimal—periodic checks for screw tightness and occasional cleaning keep the hinges operating smoothly.

• Pre-drill pilot holes to avoid wood splitting and ensure alignment
• Use bolts or heavy-duty wood screws sized for the material and load
• Tighten adjustment screws to set lock tension or folding resistance
• Wipe clean and inspect springs for debris; lubricate lightly if needed

What dimensions and finish should I expect, and will they match my project?

The bracket measures 63 x 68 x 54 mm with a 2.5 mm thick steel plate and a matte black corrosion-resistant finish that integrates with most furniture styles. Their compact footprint provides strong support without overwhelming the visual lines of a table or cabinet.

• Overall dimensions: 63 x 68 x 54 mm (2.48" x 2.68" x 2.13")
• Plate thickness: 2.5 mm (0.098") for heavy-duty strength
• Black rustproof finish for a low-profile, modern look
• Pack of four brackets—sufficient for typical folding-table setups

Who is this for? The TopDirect 4 Pack Locking Hinge is aimed at homeowners, makers, and tradespeople who need a dependable folding hinge solution for DIY furniture, compact workspaces, RV or van builds, cabinetry and garage projects.
