Ticonderoga My First Tri-Write No.2 Pencils, Unsharpened — Oversized Triangular Grip, Thick Core

Ticonderoga My First Tri-Write pencils are oversized, triangular No. 2 wood-cased pencils designed to help young children learn a correct, comfortable grip while delivering a smooth, dependable writing line.

These pencils are made for early learners: a 13/32" diameter and naturally ergonomic triangular shape make them easier for small hands to hold and control. The thicker graphite core produces a bold, even stroke that reads well on paper, while responsibly sourced premium wood sharpens cleanly with minimal breakage. Available with or without a latex-free eraser, these unsharpened pencils arrive ready for classrooms, home practice, or gift sets.

How does the triangular shape improve early handwriting?

The triangular barrel guides finger placement without extra instruction, encouraging a tripod grip that supports steady letter formation. Its oversized diameter gives young fingers more surface to grasp, reducing hand fatigue during short practice sessions.

• Natural ergonomics promote correct finger positioning
• Large 13/32" diameter fits small hands comfortably
• Matte lacquer finish reduces slipping and increases control

What makes the lead suitable for beginners?
