How long will food stay hot or cold in this Thermos?

The FUNtainer uses vacuum insulation to extend food temperature: hot foods stay warm and cold foods remain chilled for several hours. Exact performance depends on starting temperature and how often the jar is opened.

• Hot retention: up to about 5 hours under normal conditions.
• Cold retention: up to about 7 hours for chilled items.
• Pro tip: preheat or pre-chill by filling with hot/cold water for 5–10 minutes before use.

Is the food jar easy for kids to open, eat from, and clean?

The jar features a push-button lid and a wide mouth to make eating simple for small hands and to allow easy scooping of soups, yogurt, or pasta. An integrated foldable spoon stores inside the lid so utensils are always on hand, and the wide opening helps with quick hand washing or dishwasher top-rack cleaning.

• Push-button lid for one-handed opening by older children.
• Wide-mouth design for easy scooping and filling.
• Integrated foldable spoon stores inside the lid for convenience.

Will this jar fit in my child’s lunch box and survive daily use?

The 10-ounce size is compact and made to fit most standard lunch bags and boxes while staying lightweight for carrying. Built from durable 18/8 stainless steel, the jar resists dents and everyday wear, and the sweat-proof exterior helps keep other lunch items dry.

• Compact 10oz capacity fits most lunch boxes and backpacks.
• 18/8 stainless steel construction for everyday durability.
• Sweat-proof exterior prevents moisture transfer to lunch bag contents.

How should I care for and prepare the FUNtainer for best performance?

For optimal thermal results, preheat or pre-chill the jar by filling it with hot or cold water for 5–10 minutes before adding food. The jar is BPA-free and dishwasher-safe on the top rack, though hand washing is recommended to protect the finish and lid components.

• Preheat/pre-chill with hot/cold water for 5–10 minutes before use.
• Top-rack dishwasher safe; hand washing recommended for longevity.
• Ensure lid seals closed to keep contents leak-proof during transport.
