THERMOS FUNtainer Kids Food Jar 10oz Navy — Vacuum-Insulated with Built-In Spoon, Leak-Resistant

The THERMOS FUNtainer 10oz Kids Food Jar with a built-in spoon is a compact vacuum-insulated stainless steel container that keeps meals hot or cold for hours and fits easily into most lunch boxes.

Designed for school lunches and on-the-go snacks, this 10-ounce food jar combines vacuum insulation with kid-centered features: a push-button lid, foldable spoon, wide-mouth opening, and durable 18/8 stainless steel construction. It’s lightweight and leak‑resistant when closed, available in playful colors and patterns, and safe for everyday family use because it’s BPA-free and stays cool to the touch even with warm contents.

How long will the food jar keep lunch hot or cold?

The FUNtainer uses double-wall vacuum insulation to maintain temperatures for several hours. Under typical conditions it keeps hot foods warm and cold foods chilled long enough for school or daytime outings.

• Hot retention: up to approximately 5 hours for soups and warm meals.
• Cold retention: up to approximately 7 hours for yogurt, fruits, or chilled salads.
• For best results: preheat or pre-chill by filling with hot or cold tap water, closing the lid, and letting it sit 5–10 minutes before use.

Is this food jar easy for kids to use and carry?

Yes — the jar was built with children in mind. The push-button lid opens with minimal force, the foldable spoon stores inside the lid so utensils aren’t forgotten, and the wide mouth makes eating simple without extra dishes.

• Push-button lid for one-handed opening by older kids.
• Integrated foldable spoon stores inside the lid for convenience.
• Compact, lightweight shape fits most standard lunch boxes and backpacks.

How durable and safe is the THERMOS FUNtainer for daily school use?

Constructed from 18/8 stainless steel, this food jar resists dents and everyday wear better than many plastic alternatives. It’s BPA-free and designed to remain cool on the outside even with warm contents inside, reducing the risk of accidental burns.

• 18/8 stainless steel body for daily durability and dent resistance.
• BPA-free materials for food safety and peace of mind.
• Exterior stays cool to the touch when filled with hot food.

How should I clean and maintain the insulated food jar?

The FUNtainer is easy to clean thanks to its wide mouth and removable parts. While it is top-rack dishwasher safe, hand washing is recommended to extend the life of the lid seals and the foldable spoon mechanism.

• Top-rack dishwasher safe for the jar; hand wash lid parts to preserve seals.
• Rinse immediately after use to prevent residual odors or stains.
• Occasional preheat/pre-chill improves temperature performance before filling.
