Tetra ReptoMin Floating Food Sticks for Aquatic Turtles, Newts & Frogs — 2 lb Pack, High Calcium & Vitamin C

Tetra ReptoMin Floating Food Sticks are a complete, soft floating diet formulated to supply protein, calcium and stabilized vitamin C for aquatic turtles, newts and frogs.

This 2 lb (900 g) pack contains easy-to-eat sticks designed for animals that feed at the water surface. The recipe balances quality protein with added calcium and vitamin C to support normal growth and shell/skin health while avoiding artificial flavors. Manufactured under strict quality controls, these sticks are intended for daily feeding and are suitable for hobbyists who want a reliable, ready-to-serve staple food for their aquatic reptiles and amphibians.

How should I feed ReptoMin to my turtle, newt or frog?

Feed up to twice daily and only offer what your pet can consume within three minutes to prevent overfeeding and water fouling. Adjust portion size based on age, size and activity—juveniles typically need more frequent feedings while adults require less. Monitor intake and reduce quantity if uneaten food remains after the three-minute window.

• Feed frequency: up to 2 times per day.
• Serving rule: only what’s eaten in 3 minutes.
• Adjust portions: increase for growing juveniles, decrease for sedentary adults.

What nutritional benefits are included in ReptoMin floating sticks?

The formula supplies quality protein plus added calcium and stabilized vitamin C to help support normal development and general wellbeing. These nutrients are incorporated at measured levels appropriate for aquatic turtles, newts and frogs, and the product is marketed as a complete diet for routine feeding. No artificial flavors are included, focusing on palatability from natural ingredients.

• Protein-rich blends for energy and growth.
• Added calcium to support skeletal and shell maintenance.
• Stabilized vitamin C for nutritional balance.

Will ReptoMin affect my aquarium water quality?

Floating sticks are designed to be eaten at the surface, which helps reduce sinking waste, but any uneaten food can still decompose and impact water quality. Remove leftovers promptly and follow the three-minute feeding guideline to minimize debris. Maintain routine filtration and partial water changes as part of regular tank care.

• Remove uneaten food after 3 minutes.
• Use adequate filtration for nutrient loads.
• Perform regular partial water changes to preserve water clarity.

How does ReptoMin fit into a varied diet for reptiles and amphibians?

ReptoMin is formulated as a complete daily diet but can also be part of a varied feeding plan that includes live or frozen prey, leafy greens (for some species), and occasional supplements as advised. Rotate foods to encourage natural behaviors and provide diverse textures and nutrients. Consult species-specific care references for appropriate supplemental items and feeding schedules.

• Can be a primary daily staple for many aquatic turtles, newts and frogs.
• Works well alongside live or frozen prey and plant matter where appropriate.
• Use species-specific supplements if recommended by care guides.
