TaylorMade TP5 2024 Golf Balls One Dozen — White on White, Five‑Layer Tour Ball, Soft 53 Compression

TaylorMade TP5 2024 is a five-layer, tour-grade golf ball engineered for softer feel and enhanced short-game spin while maintaining distance off the tee.

The TP5 remains TaylorMade's premium Tour Spin golf ball, redesigned for 2024 with a New Speed Wrap Core and refined cover coloration. Built with a five-layer progressive construction, it separates spin characteristics between long clubs and wedges so golfers can expect low spin with drivers and higher spin around the green. The ball's 53 compression rating favors players seeking a softer sensation without sacrificing performance across a wide range of swing speeds.

How does the TP5 deliver both distance and control?

The TP5 uses a multi-layer architecture that balances speed and spin by assigning different roles to each layer. Outer layers increase spin responsiveness for short shots while inner layers focus energy on ball speed and launch for longer carries.

• Five-layer progressive construction separates spin between long and short clubs.
• New Speed Wrap Core designed to support faster ball speed with a softer feel.
• 53 compression rating provides a softer feeling on impact for many players.
• Urethane cover enhances greenside bite without compromising durability.

What has changed in the 2024 TP5 compared to prior TP5 models?

The 2024 edition introduces the New Speed Wrap Core, tuned for a gentler acoustic signature and optimized energy transfer. TaylorMade also updated the cover color options—White on White and Yellow on Yellow—to better match paint hues and improve perceived durability.

• New Speed Wrap Core for softer sound and engineered speed.
• Refined urethane coloration to match paint and reduce visible wear.
• Same five-layer progressive design retained with targeted spin separation.

Will TP5 suit my short-game and wedge performance?

The outer urethane layers and progressive construction focus on producing higher spin and enhanced feel with wedges and chips. That means improved bite and control into and around the green without losing the distance characteristics needed from irons and woods.

• High-spin outer layers provide better greenside stopping power.
• Soft overall compression helps with feel on delicate shots.
• Consistent performance across different lofts and swing speeds.

How durable is the TP5 in everyday play?

TaylorMade designed the TP5's urethane cover and updated coloration to offer resilient performance and a clean appearance over multiple rounds. While urethane-covered tour balls will show wear over time, the White on White and Yellow on Yellow finishes help mask scuffs and maintain a factory look longer.

• Urethane cover engineered for a balance of spin and durability.
• Color-matched covers intended to reduce visible paint wear.
• Packaged as one dozen, ready for range sessions or tournament use.

Who is this for: The 2024 TaylorMade TP5 is aimed at players wanting a premium tour-style ball that emphasizes soft feel and high short-game spin while retaining distance from the tee. It suits low- to mid-handicap golfers and enthusiastic amateurs who prioritize greenside control and consistent multi-club performance.
