Targus 17" Dual Fan Lap Chill Mat – Soft Neoprene Cooling Pad with USB-A Fans, Ergonomic Tilt

The Targus 17" Dual Fan Lap Chill Mat is a cushioned neoprene laptop cooling pad with two USB-A powered fans that keeps 17" and smaller laptops cooler and more comfortable on your lap.

Whether you work from the couch, travel, or need a cooler surface for intensive tasks, this lap chill mat gives you a stable, tilted workspace that reduces heat buildup under your laptop while protecting your legs. Built with an open mesh top for efficient airflow, ergonomic tilt for typing comfort, and four rubber stops to prevent slipping, the Targus Chill Mat is designed to be a simple, portable accessory that plugs directly into your laptop or any USB-A power source.

How does the Chill Mat reduce laptop heat during long sessions?

The Chill Mat uses two built-in fans and an open mesh surface to create consistent airflow under your laptop, pulling heat away from vents and components. This lowers surface temperatures and helps maintain performance by preventing localized hot spots.

• Dual fans positioned to cover the typical heat zones of 15–17" laptops
• Open mesh top for unobstructed air movement
• USB-A power connection draws from your laptop or USB power bank
• Continuous operation for sustained cooling during heavy use

Will it fit my laptop and still feel comfortable on my legs?

The mat is sized for 17" laptops and smaller, offering a soft neoprene underside that cushions your lap while the slightly tilted platform improves typing posture. Four rubber stops hold the laptop in place so it stays stable even when you shift position.

• Fits most 17" laptops and smaller form factors
• Soft neoprene bottom provides cushioned comfort on the legs
• Ergonomic tilt reduces wrist strain during typing
• Rubber stops prevent slipping and add device stability

How do I power and connect the dual fans?

Powering the Chill Mat is straightforward: plug the integrated USB-A cable into your laptop, desktop, or any USB-A power adapter. The fans start immediately, requiring no drivers or software, so setup is quick and mobile-friendly.

• Standard USB-A connection—compatible with laptops and USB chargers
• No additional drivers or installation needed
• Draws power from the connected device or USB power bank for portable use
• Simple single-cable operation for clutter-free setup

How durable and travel-ready is the Chill Mat?

Designed for everyday portability, the Targus Chill Mat uses robust mesh and neoprene materials that withstand repeated use and travel. Its low profile and lightweight construction make it easy to slide into a bag or carry along with your laptop.

• Lightweight, low-profile design fits into laptop bags
• Durable mesh top resists wear while enabling airflow
• Neoprene underside cushions and resists abrasion
• Simple cable management—one USB-A connector to carry
