Swimline FrogLog Floating Critter Escape Ramp — Single Ramp for Pools & Spas, Mesh Ramp with Anchor Pouch

Swimline's FrogLog is a floating escape ramp that gives small animals a safe, easy way to exit pools, spas, and fountains. The FrogLog is a compact, science-backed escape device developed with wildlife biologists to reduce accidental drownings and keep pool water cleaner. Lightweight and portable, it combines a buoyant platform with a gentle ramp of mesh and an anchor pouch so frogs, ducklings, lizards, squirrels, and other small creatures can climb out of the water without damaging pool surfaces.

How does the FrogLog help wildlife and reduce pool mess?

The FrogLog provides a physical exit point animals often cannot find when they fall into deep water. Rather than removing every critter after it drowns, the ramp encourages live escape, which cuts down on floating debris, odors, and filtration clogs. It’s a preventive measure that lowers maintenance needs while protecting local wildlife.

• Gives animals a climbable path to shore, reducing drownings.
• Decreases animal-related debris and bacterial load in pool water.
• Minimizes time spent skimming and cleaning filters.

What species and pool types work best with this ramp?

The FrogLog is designed for small creatures up to about one pound, including frogs, toads, salamanders, small turtles, lizards, ducklings, mice, chipmunks, and similar animals. It fits most inground and above-ground pools, spas, and water features — use more than one unit for larger perimeters or pools with multiple access points.

• Effective for many small mammals, birds, amphibians, and reptiles.
• Compatible with pools, spas, fountains, and ponds.
• Multiple ramps recommended for large or irregularly shaped pools.

How do you install and maintain the FrogLog?

Installation is tool-free: inflate the flotation section, unroll the mesh ramp, and fill the anchor pouch with sand or gravel. Position it where animals tend to land or along the pool edge; periodic rinsing and storage out of direct sun when not in use will extend its life. The materials are UV-resistant and built for exposure to pool chemicals, but simple care keeps it working season after season.

• Inflate platform, unroll mesh, fill anchor pouch—no tools required.
• Place near likely animal entry points or pool edges they frequent.
• Rinse occasionally; store indoors off-season to prolong durability.

Will the FrogLog damage pool surfaces or interfere with swimmers?

The ramp is made from pool-safe Denier nylon and soft flotation materials to avoid scratching surfaces. It anchors in place so it won’t drift, and its low profile keeps it out of the way for swimmers while providing an obvious exit for animals. Remove or relocate as desired for swim sessions or maintenance.

• Constructed from soft, pool-safe nylon to prevent surface abrasion.
• Anchored design reduces drifting and stays at the pool edge.
• Easy to remove or reposition for active swimming or cleaning.

Who is this for? The FrogLog is ideal for homeowners, vacation property managers, pool service professionals, nature-conscious families, and anyone who wants a humane, low-effort way to protect small wildlife and cut down on pool cleanup. If you want a tested, easy-to-install ramp that has been field-proven in thousands of pools worldwide, the FrogLog is a practical addition to your water-care toolkit.
