superbio Compostable 1.6 Gallon Food Scrap Bags with Handles — 50 per Roll, Reinforced Bottom, 0.63 mil

SUPERBIO 1.6 Gallon Compostable Food Scrap Bags are sturdy, certified compostable liners with tie handles and a reinforced bottom designed to hold kitchen food scraps for home or commercial composting.

These compact 6L bags are made by SUPERBIO using patented processing to combine tear resistance with certified biodegradability. Sized to fit small countertop compost bins, they come 50 bags per roll and carry multiple industry certifications that confirm they break down in appropriate composting environments. They’re useful for anyone who wants a tidy, leak-resistant way to collect organic waste while avoiding standard plastic liners.

How strong and leak-resistant are these bags for daily kitchen scraps?

The bags are manufactured to remain strong and tear-resistant when used as directed, with a star-sealed reinforced bottom that reduces punctures and a built-in handle tie for secure closure. They are 0.63 mil thick, offering a balance of flexibility and durability for typical food-waste loads.

• 0.63 mil thickness for puncture resistance
• Star-sealed reinforced bottom to prevent leaks
• Handle tie for secure closure and easier carrying
• Sized 16.1 x 19.3 inches to fit most 1.6-gallon countertop bins

Are these bags truly compostable and what certifications do they carry?

SUPERBIO bags hold multiple third-party certifications for compostability, confirming they meet recognized standards for breaking down in suitable compost systems. Certifications target both commercial composting and home-composting contexts, but availability of processing facilities varies by region.

• BPI-certified for commercial composting (meets ASTM D6400)
• OK compost HOME and TÜV SEEDLING compliant (meets EN 13432)
• Suitable for accepted composting streams where facilities exist
• Check local guidelines — not all areas accept home or commercial compostable plastics

How should I store and dispose of these compostable liners safely?

Store the rolls in a cool, dry place away from heat to preserve bag integrity; the recommended shelf life is about one year. When filled with particularly acidic or alkaline organic waste, dispose of the bag within three days to avoid degradation or leaks while stored inside the liner.

• Keep away from heat and excessive humidity
• Shelf life: approximately 1 year under proper storage
• Dispose within 3 days if holding acidic or alkaline scraps
• Confirm local composting facility acceptance before disposal

What size and packaging details should buyers expect?

Each roll contains 50 bags sized for 1.6-gallon (6L) countertop bins, measuring 16.1 x 19.3 inches. Packaging has been updated; shipments may arrive in either new or previous packaging but the product quality remains subject to strict quality control.

• 1.6 gallon (6L) capacity per bag — for small kitchen compost bins
