SUNNY GUARD 10' x 13' Rectangle Shade Sail — 95% UV Block HDPE Canopy, Breathable Durable Outdoor Sun Protection

The SUNNY GUARD 10' x 13' rectangle shade sail is a breathable high-density polyethylene canopy that blocks up to 95% of UV rays and provides cool, durable sun protection for patios, pools, and gardens.

This heavy-duty rectangle shade sail from SUNNY GUARD is designed to create comfortable shaded areas outdoors without trapping heat. Made from a single-piece high density polyethylene (HDPE) fabric, the sail lets air flow through while filtering most harmful ultraviolet light. Its weather-resistant construction, customizable sizing option, and included rope make it a practical choice for patios, pergolas, carports, and other outdoor living spaces.

How much sun protection does this shade sail provide?

The fabric is engineered to block up to 95% of UV radiation, reducing direct sun exposure while allowing light and airflow. It’s made from brand-new HDPE that resists fading and tearing better than thinner woven meshes.

• Blocks up to 95% of harmful UV rays
• Breathable weave helps reduce heat buildup
• Single-piece HDPE material avoids weak splices
• Fade-resistant for longer outdoor life

How do I measure and install the 10' x 13' sail?

Measure the planned attachment points and leave 0.5–1 foot of extra space at each anchor to accommodate ropes or hardware. Expect a possible size variance of about ±4 inches due to the fabric’s nature; SUNNY GUARD can also create custom sizes if needed.

• Allow 6–12 inches clearance per corner for hooks or ropes
• Follow measurement diagrams provided with the product
• Anchors should be secure and corrosion-resistant
• Consider purchasing SUNNY GUARD stainless-steel fittings for durability

What comes in the box and what additional parts might I need?

The package includes the rectangle shade sail plus three to four thickened ropes to help with initial setup. For long-term stability and safety, we recommend using dedicated stainless-steel sunshade fittings, turnbuckles, and heavy-duty anchors—especially in windy locations.

• Included: 10' x 13' HDPE shade sail and thickened ropes
• Optional: stainless steel eye bolts, turnbuckles, snap hooks
• Optional: additional ropes for tensioning and wind resistance
• Custom sizing available through SUNNY GUARD on request

Where is this shade sail best used and how does it perform in different settings?

The rectangular design suits linear spaces like patios, decks, carports and poolside lounging areas. Because the fabric breathes, it lowers perceived temperature beneath the sail and withstands routine outdoor exposure, making it suitable for seasonal or year-round installations with proper hardware.

• Ideal for patios, pergolas, decks, pools, and BBQ areas
• Breathable fabric keeps spaces cooler than solid covers
• UV protection helps preserve outdoor furniture and skin
• Works well as temporary or semi-permanent shade

Who is this for? The SUNNY GUARD 10' x 13' rectangle shade sail is aimed at homeowners, renters, and property managers who want an effective, low-maintenance way to create shaded outdoor living spaces. It fits people looking for strong UV protection without sacrificing airflow—gardeners protecting plants, parents shading play areas, and anyone creating a comfortable outdoor seating or dining spot.
