Sunheir Large Washable Orthopedic Dog Bed with Removable Cover, 3in Foam & Waterproof

Sunheir's Washable Orthopedic Large Dog Bed is a rectangle plush pet mattress with a removable waterproof cover and 3" high-density egg-foam designed to deliver supportive, cozy rest for large dogs.

If you want a durable, easy-clean bed that helps large dogs relax while protecting floors and furniture, this Sunheir pet mat combines a soft Sherpa surface, a TPU waterproof barrier, and a slip-resistant base. The cover unzips for machine washing, the sides use reinforced technical fabric to resist claws, and the inner egg-crate foam provides pressure-dispersing support for longer naps and overnight sleep. The mattress ships compressed and regains its loft after 48 hours at room temperature.

How does this bed make daily cleanup simpler?

The removable cover is machine washable and built with a three-layer construction to block liquids while staying soft. Remove the zipper cover, wash on a gentle cycle, and air or tumble-dry low per care instructions to keep the bed fresh and stain-free.

• Three-layer cover: plush top, TPU waterproof middle, reinforced side fabric
• Full zipper for quick removal and reattachment
• Machine-washable—wipe small spills between washes
• Waterproof barrier prevents inner foam saturation

Will the bed provide enough support for large or older dogs?

The core uses three inches of high-density egg-crate foam that cushions pressure points while distributing weight across the surface. It's an orthopedic-style mattress that gives a firmer, stable base than thin pads, suitable for dogs that prefer to stretch out or sink slightly into plush cushioning.

• 3" high-density egg-crate foam for even pressure distribution
• Rectangular shape lets large dogs fully extend
• Firm but contouring feel—comfort without excessive sink
• Can be used alone, on elevated beds, or inside crates

Is the bed durable enough for active pets and claws?

Sunheir combines a soft Sherpa sleep surface with reinforced technical fabric on the sides and a non-slip bottom to resist wear and keep the bed in place. While designed for everyday use, prompt cleaning and supervised chewing help preserve the cover's lifespan.

• Reinforced side panels resist scratches and bites
• Slip-resistant base holds the mattress on hard floors
• Durable zipper and stitch construction for repeated washing
• Store or replace cover if significant damage occurs

How should I set up the bed after it arrives compressed?

The mattress is vacuum-compressed for shipping and recovers most volume after unpacking. Unwrap, unzip any protective packaging, and allow the foam to decompress at room temperature for about 48 hours for best loft and comfort.

• Remove plastic and let the bed rest flat for 48 hours
• Fluff the top by hand to help even out the foam cells
• Place away from direct heat while expanding
• Rezip the cover once the foam regains shape if needed
