Srixon Q Star Tour 12 Golf Balls — Yellow 12-Pack, Soft Urethane Feel & Increased Spin

The Srixon Q STAR TOUR 12 in yellow is a three-piece, urethane-covered golf ball engineered to deliver softer feel, increased spin around the green, and higher ball speeds for confident play.

Built as Srixon’s softest Q STAR TOUR generation, this yellow 12-pack combines a slightly firmer FastLayer core with an even softer urethane cover to balance distance and control. Designers tuned compression for improved ball speed while upgrading the cover’s elasticity and Spin Skin coating so the ball grips clubface grooves for added stopping power. Aerodynamic improvements from the 338 Speed Dimple Pattern help maintain stable flight in variable conditions, and durable materials preserve performance across multiple rounds.

How does the construction affect distance and feel?

The reworked three-piece construction uses a graduated FastLayer core that is slightly firmer than the previous generation to promote faster ball speeds while preserving a soft initial impact. The result is a pleasant, softer feel on short shots and a responsive sensation on full swings that still generates carry distance.

• FastLayer core transitions from soft center to firmer outer edge for speed and feel.
• Slightly increased compression for higher velocity off the clubface.
• Urethane cover maintains a soft touch on chips and putts.

What improves spin and control around the greens?

Spin performance is enhanced by the softer urethane cover plus Srixon’s Spin Skin coating, which is formulated to flex into grooves and maximize friction at impact. That combination yields more bite on approach shots and greater ability to hold a green without sacrificing feel.

• Spin Skin coating increases contact friction with grooves for better backspin.
• Softer urethane cover provides a tackier surface for shorter shots.
• Consistent construction produces reliable spin from shot to shot.

Will these balls fly straight in windy or adverse conditions?

The 338 Speed Dimple Pattern reduces drag and encourages lift at launch, helping the ball punch through crosswinds and hold a truer trajectory. Golfers will notice steadier flight and improved accuracy on mid- to long-range shots, especially when conditions are unsettled.

• 338 dimple design optimizes aerodynamics for lower drag and stable lift.
• Pattern tuned to reduce side spin influence for straighter flights.
• Performs well in varied wind and weather scenarios.

How durable and consistent are these balls over multiple rounds?

Srixon engineered the Q STAR TOUR 12 to maintain playability and appearance through many rounds using tougher urethane formulations and quality control in layering. Players can expect consistent distance, spin, and feel across the pack, with the cover resisting scuffs better than softer balls of similar construction.

• Durable urethane resists cuts and abrasions for longer-lasting performance.
• Consistent manufacturing ensures uniform compression and flight characteristics.
• Reliable performance round after round for predictable scoring shots.

Who is this for: The Srixon Q STAR TOUR 12 (yellow) suits golfers who want a softer-feeling ball without losing distance — players seeking more spin and greenside control while retaining reliable flight and durability. It’s a strong match for mid-handicap to low-handicap players who value tour-style feel and higher stopping power on approaches, and for anyone who prefers a high-visibility yellow ball in varying light conditions.
