Sony WH-CH720N Wireless Noise-Cancelling Over-Ear Headphones — Black, 35-Hour Battery & Lightweight Comfort

The Sony WH-CH720N are lightweight over-ear wireless headphones with active noise cancellation, up to 35 hours of battery life, and smart ambient-sound controls for focused listening.

These headphones combine Sony's Dual Noise Sensor system with an Integrated Processor V1 to reduce background noise while preserving clear, balanced audio. Designed for long sessions, the WH-CH720N prioritizes comfort and practical features—quick charging, multipoint Bluetooth pairing, and adaptive ambient sound—so you can move between devices and environments without losing audio quality.

How effective is the noise cancellation for commuting or busy spaces?

The WH-CH720N use dual microphones and Sony's noise-processing chip to cut steady background sounds, like transit rumble and office chatter, allowing you to hear music or calls more clearly. Noise suppression isn't absolute, but it's strong enough to reduce distractions in most everyday situations.

• Dual Noise Sensor microphones capture ambient sound for precise cancellation.
• Integrated Processor V1 refines noise reduction while maintaining sound clarity.
• Adjustable Ambient Sound mode lets you hear announcements or conversations without removing the headset.

Are these comfortable for all-day listening?

Sony engineered the WH-CH720N to be one of its lightest over-ear designs, making them easier to wear for extended periods. Memory-foam-like ear pads and a balanced headband pressure help reduce fatigue during workdays or long commutes.

• Lightweight construction reduces strain during prolonged use.
• Cushioned ear cups conform to the ear for an improved seal and comfort.
• Fold-flat design and compact profile make them travel-friendly.

What battery life and charging features do they offer?

The WH-CH720N provide long runtime so you can listen through multiple days of commuting or a long trip without frequent charging. A quick top-up delivers substantial playback when you’re pressed for time.

• Up to 35 hours of playback on a full charge under typical conditions.
• Fast-charge: a few minutes of charging yields roughly an hour of listening.
• USB-C charging cable included for modern, reversible connectivity.

How do these headphones handle calls and streaming quality?

Clear voice pickup uses beamforming microphones and processing to focus on your voice for hands-free calls. On the audio side, Sony’s processing and DSEE upscaling improve compressed tracks to sound fuller and closer to the original recording.

• Precise Voice Pickup Technology improves call clarity in common environments.
• Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE) restores detail in compressed audio files.
• Multipoint Bluetooth lets you switch between two paired devices instantly.

Who is this for? The Sony WH-CH720N suit listeners who want a balance of noise control, comfort, and long battery life without a premium price tag. They fit commuters, remote workers, frequent travelers, and anyone who prefers a lightweight over-ear design with smart ambient features and reliable wireless performance.
