Simple Lawn Solutions Liquid Soil Loosener concentrated 32 oz – improves drainage, relieves compacted soils

Liquid Soil Loosener is a concentrated 32‑ounce soil conditioner from Simple Lawn Solutions that helps relieve compaction and improve vertical water movement when used alone or alongside mechanical aeration.

Many lawns suffer from hard, compacted soil that repels water or keeps it pooling on the surface. Simple Lawn Solutions Liquid Soil Loosener is formulated to condition dense soils, promote better water infiltration, and make aeration efforts more effective. It’s designed for use on all common turfgrass types and can be integrated into routine lawn care or used before major renovations like overseeding.

How does Liquid Soil Loosener improve drainage and reduce standing water?

The product works by loosening compacted layers so water can move downward rather than remaining on the surface. Applied as a concentrated liquid and watered in, it helps restore vertical permeability and reduces surface pooling over time. Use it where water tends to collect or after heavy foot or equipment traffic.

• Promotes vertical drainage and faster water infiltration
• Helps alleviate standing water issues when applied correctly
• Works on a variety of soil textures including clay, silt, and compacted loam

When should I apply it relative to aeration, seeding, or fertilizing?

Apply Liquid Soil Loosener at least four weeks before seeding; it can reduce germination if seeds are present. It complements mechanical or core aeration by loosening soil ahead of or following aeration passes, improving the benefits of both treatments. It’s safe to use alongside your regular fertilizer program but keep seed timing in mind.

• Do not apply directly over newly sown seed — wait four weeks before seeding
• Use with aeration equipment (core or mechanical) for enhanced results
• Compatible with standard fertilizer schedules when not seeding

How much area does one 32-ounce bottle cover and how do I apply it?

One 32‑ounce bottle treats up to 32,000 square feet when mixed and applied according to directions, making it an economical option for large yards. Apply using a hose‑end sprayer, backpack sprayer, pump sprayer, or spray tank, then water in thoroughly for at least 20 minutes to activate the conditioner and move it into the profile. Follow label dilution and spray pattern guidance for even coverage.

• Concentrated formula: a little product goes a long way
• Compatible with hose‑end, backpack, pump, or tank sprayers
• Water in for a minimum of 20 minutes after application

Which grass and soil types benefit most from this soil conditioner?

Liquid Soil Loosener is formulated for all common turfgrasses including Bermuda, Zoysia, St. Augustine, Bahia, fescue, ryegrass, and Kentucky bluegrass. It’s especially useful on compacted lawns, areas with poor drainage, and sites that experience standing water or slow infiltration. Whether you maintain a residential yard or manage larger landscapes, it supports improved water movement across soil types.

• Suitable for warm‑season and cool‑season grasses
• Effective on compacted clay, heavy loam, and compacted topsoil
• Used commercially and manufactured in the USA
