Seventh Generation Dishwasher Detergent Packs, 72 Count — Free & Clear, Plant‑Based Enzyme Clean

Seventh Generation Free & Clear Dishwasher Detergent Packs are single-dose, plant- and mineral-based pods that remove baked-on food, grease, and hard-water marks without dyes or fragrances.

These dishwasher detergent packs combine enzyme-rich cleaning power with a simple, low-scent formulation designed for everyday family kitchens. The pods dissolve in most dishwashers to lift stuck-on residue, tea stains, and light-to-moderate grease while rinsing clean and avoiding the dyes, perfumes, and phosphates some households prefer to skip. Packaged with sustainability in mind, the box is made using 90% plastic-free materials and the formula carries EPA Safer Choice recognition and USDA biobased certification.

How well do these packs handle dried or baked-on food?

They are formulated with enzymes and mineral-based cleaning agents that start breaking down proteins and starches as the cycle begins. For everyday levels of baked-on foods and overnight residue, users should see clear plates and pans without extra scrubbing.

• Enzyme-rich formula targets proteins and starches
• Effective on tea marks, food residue, and light-to-moderate grease
• Single-dose pods eliminate measuring and spills

Will these pods leave spots or film on glassware and silverware?

The Free & Clear formula is designed to rinse clean and reduce spotting on glass and flatware when used as directed. Hard-water build-up is reduced, but very hard water or heavy mineral deposits may still require a rinse aid or periodic descaling for best clarity.

• Rinses without added dyes or fragrances
• Reduces hard-water marks under normal conditions
• Compatible with most dishwashers; add rinse aid if water is very hard

Are these safe for sensitive households and septic systems?

The packs contain no fragrances, dyes, or phosphates and are formulated with plant- and mineral-based ingredients, making them a good fit for people avoiding added scents. The product is labeled septic-safe and meets EPA Safer Choice standards, offering a gentler option for many homes.

• 0% dyes and fragrances, suitable for low-scent preferences
• Plant- and mineral-based ingredients with USDA biobased certification
• Septic-safe formulation and EPA Safer Choice recognition

What’s the best way to use these packs for consistent results?

Place one single-dose pack in the detergent dispenser and run the dishwasher on the appropriate cycle for the soil level. Avoid overloading the machine, rinse heavily burnt pots before loading, and wash silver, stainless steel, and aluminum separately to prevent potential discoloration.

• Use one pack per load in the dispenser for consistent dosing
• Pre-rinse or soak heavily charred cookware if necessary
• Wash reactive metals separately to protect finishes

Who is this for? Seventh Generation Free & Clear Dishwasher Detergent Packs are aimed at households that want reliable dish cleaning without added perfumes or dyes, especially families and renters seeking convenience and cleaner ingredients. They suit people who prioritize sustainable packaging and prefer plant-forward formulations, while also serving busy kitchens that need straightforward, single-dose performance. If you have very hard water, reactive metal cookware, or unusually heavy burned-on soils, pair the packs with a rinse aid or occasional targeted cleaner for best results.
