Sanitaire commercial upright vacuum SC679K — Red, 800W motor, 18‑quart bag, 30ft cord

The Sanitaire SC679K Tradition Upright is a lightweight, commercial bagged vacuum delivering durable 800W motor performance, a large 18‑quart shake‑out bag, and easy tool‑free maintenance for extended daily use.

Designed for janitorial teams, offices, schools and other high-traffic spaces, the SC679K pairs commercial‑grade components with a compact, easy‑to‑maneuver frame. Its polycarbonate hood resists wear in demanding environments, while a long 30‑foot cord and sizeable dirt bag reduce interruptions during long cleaning sessions. The vacuum is engineered to balance power and portability: it weighs just 12.2 pounds yet is built for more than 500 hours of motor life.

How long will this vacuum run under commercial conditions?

The SC679K is built to withstand regular, heavy use with a motor rated for over 500 hours of commercial‑grade cleaning. That longevity helps lower total cost of ownership and keeps cleaning schedules on track without frequent motor replacements.

• 800.0‑watt motor delivering sustained suction.
• Motor life rated at 500+ hours for commercial environments.
• Durable polycarbonate hood resists breakage on the job.

What maintenance tasks are involved and how easy are they?

Maintenance is designed to be quick and tool‑free so custodial staff can service the machine without downtime. The brush roll and belt can be replaced without tools, and the metal‑clip bag release allows for fast, secure bag changes.

• Tool‑free brush roll and belt replacement saves time.
• Metal clip bag release secures and simplifies bag removal.
• Shake‑out style 18‑quart bag reduces frequency of full bag changes.

How does it perform across different cleaning areas and surfaces?

Optimized for carpeted spaces and commercial interiors, the Sanitaire Tradition provides reliable pickup on walkways, offices and classrooms while remaining light enough to carry between floors. The vacuum’s design balances agitation and suction to handle routine debris common in high-traffic facilities.

• Large 18‑quart bag captures dust and debris for extended runs.
• Light 12.2‑lb weight for easy transport and stair use.
• 30‑foot commercial power cord increases reachable area before unplugging.

What features help reduce interruptions during long shifts?

Several practical design touches cut down on stoppages: the long cord extends cleaning reach, the large-capacity bag means fewer replacements, and the rugged hood resists damage in busy environments. Together, these features sustain productivity across long cleaning routes.

• 30‑foot heavy‑duty cord provides a potential cleaning radius up to 4,680 sq ft per outlet.
• 18‑quart shake‑out bag lowers frequency of bag changes.
• Polycarbonate hood and commercial build reduce repair needs.
