RYOBI ONE+ 18V 4.0Ah High-Performance Lithium-Ion Battery — Extended Runtime & More Power

RYOBI's PBP004 ONE+ 18V 4.0Ah battery delivers longer runtime and increased power for any tool in the ONE+ 18V system.

Built to fit the wide RYOBI ONE+ ecosystem, the PBP004 4.0 Ah lithium-ion pack increases run time and delivers more torque for demanding tasks. It’s compatible with 225+ ONE+ tools, so homeowners and pros can swap the battery among drills, impact drivers, saws, and garden equipment without adapters. This description explains what the battery offers, how it performs on the job, and practical details buyers care about when upgrading their power platform.

How does this battery improve jobsite runtime and tool performance?

The 4.0 Ah cell capacity gives significantly longer runtime than smaller batteries, letting you complete larger jobs between charges. The pack is engineered for higher continuous output, so tools maintain power under load rather than sagging as quickly as standard packs.

• Up to 4x the run time compared with standard lithium RYOBI packs under similar workloads.
• About 30% more power delivery for heavy-duty applications like drilling into dense material.
• Stable voltage under load to reduce slowdowns on prolonged use.

Will this battery work with my existing RYOBI ONE+ tools?

Yes — the PBP004 is fully compatible across the RYOBI ONE+ 18V family, so you can interchange it with any ONE+ tool without adapters. That ecosystem interoperability is what makes ONE+ convenient for multi-tool households and mixed fleets on jobsites.

• Works with 225+ ONE+ tools including drills, drivers, saws, and outdoor equipment.
• Slide-in mounting design matches standard RYOBI tool connections.
• Mix and match with other ONE+ battery capacities as needed for task-specific performance.

How should I charge and maintain this lithium-ion battery for best lifespan?

Use an official RYOBI ONE+ charger designed for 18V lithium-ion packs and avoid extreme temperatures during charging or storage. Regular charging after use and storing at moderate temperatures prolongs capacity and reduces long-term degradation.

• Charge on a ventilated surface with the recommended RYOBI charger.
• Avoid leaving the battery fully discharged for extended periods; recharge after use.
• Store indoors in cool, dry conditions to maintain capacity over many cycles.

What safety and build features does the PBP004 include?

The PBP004 uses standard lithium-ion safety controls and a durable housing to handle daily handling on the jobsite. Protecting cells from shock and including electronic safeguards helps reduce risks and keeps performance consistent.

• Robust outer casing to resist impacts and wear from frequent tool swaps.
• Integrated electronic protection against overcharge, over-discharge, and short circuits.
• Lightweight design that balances added capacity with manageable tool weight.

Who this battery is for: The RYOBI PBP004 4.0 Ah 18V pack is ideal for homeowners upgrading from smaller cells, DIYers tackling larger projects, and tradespeople needing dependable runtimes without changing their tool ecosystem. If you already own ONE+ tools and want fewer mid-job charges, or you need more sustained power for cord-free cutting, drilling, or yard work, this battery is a practical, plug-and-play upgrade that expands your ONE+ capabilities.
