Rundik Snuffle Mat for Dogs - Interactive Feeding Puzzle Mat, Non-Slip Machine-Washable (Gray)

Rundik Snuffle Mat is a soft, felt-based hiding mat that turns mealtime into a scent-driven puzzle, keeping dogs mentally engaged while slowing down eating.

This interactive feeding mat uses layered felt strips and a raised edge to hide kibble or treats so dogs must sniff and search to find their food. Designed to stimulate natural foraging instincts, the mat reduces boredom, supports portion control, and offers a quiet, low-impact activity suitable for puppies through adult dogs. Made from durable, non-toxic felt with a non-slip bottom and two included suction cups, it’s machine-washable for easy upkeep.

How does this snuffle mat help slow down fast eaters?

The Rundik mat requires pets to hunt for each piece of food rather than gulping from a bowl. This naturally spaces out bites, promotes calmer eating behavior, and reduces the risk of gulping or vomiting associated with rapid consumption.

• Scatter kibble across the felt layers to disperse food over multiple sniffing spots.
• Use the deeper piles for larger treats to increase search time.
• The raised edge keeps pieces contained for longer, preventing quick grabs.

Can it withstand vigorous play and is it safe for my dog?

Rundik built the mat from thicker felt fibers and reinforced edging to resist routine nosing and pawing. All materials are non-toxic and odorless; the underside has a textured, non-slip cloth and two suction cups to anchor the mat on smooth floors.

• Durable, thicker pile hides treats while withstanding regular sniffing.
• Edge guard prevents food from falling out during searches.
• Non-slip backing plus suction cups reduce shifting during use.

How do I clean and maintain the snuffle mat?

The felt top is easy to refresh with either a machine or hand wash, and dries quickly so it’s ready for reuse. Regular cleaning removes trapped food particles and keeps the mat hygienic for daily feeding games.

• Recommended wash at least once a week for frequent use.
• Machine-washable on a gentle cycle or hand-wash with mild detergent.
• Air dry flat to maintain pile structure and protective edge shape.

What kinds of games or training can I use this for?

This mat is useful for simple feeding, scent-work practice, calming activities, and low-effort training sessions. You can adapt the difficulty by how deeply you hide food and combine it with short obedience cues like 'search' or 'find.'

• Scatter kibble for everyday meals to create a slowing-foraging routine.
• Hide higher-value treats deeper in the pile for advanced scent work.
• Use during crate or alone time to reduce boredom and prevent destructive behavior.
